Kubla Khan Roma — Restaurant in Rome

My friends' burger had some inedible pieces in it. It was mediocre at best. I ordered fries, which are not on the menu, apparently. To my surprise, I got charged 6€ for a portion of french fries. I went to complain and said "maybe I misunderstood something, because I saw the fries at 3.5€?" to which the response was "impossibile". So it's impossible that a customer is right and you're wrong? The one handling my complaint HAD TO ASK the others for the price of fries, to which they shrugged off. Then I argued that french fries do not cost as much as sweet potato fries, and had to end it there as they were only after the money. It's not a matter of money, I did not expect free fries. I would recommend people to go elsewhere, especially because the lack of clarity might trap you into paying more than you...

This place is a MUST try! The atmosphere is great, the staff is kind, and the food is absolutely delicious. Pasta and pizza can get a bit tedious when traveling in Italy, so this is an excellent spot to mix it up. We ate and recommend the following:

BAO LOS POLLOS* Bao the Chickens EMPANADAS DI MANZO or Beef Empanadas CHAO FAN* Vegetable Fried Rice and the ROLLY cocktail.

My partner and I shared the appetizers (Bao and Empanadas) and ate our own Chao Fan plates. We feel satisfied and thankfully, not bloated! Speaks to the quality of the food.

Atmosfera Incantevole, Ma il Prezzo Non Vale la Candela. Ho visitato Il Clue di Kubla Khan nella zona di Ponte Lungo, attratto dalla sua fama e dall'estetica accattivante. Devo ammettere che, da questo punto di vista, il locale non delude: l'atmosfera è davvero il suo punto forte. L'ambiente è curato, suggestivo e indubbiamente fotogenico, perfetto per chi cerca uno scatto d'effetto da condividere sui social. È facile capire perché sia considerato un posto "instagrammabile". Tuttavia, l'esperienza positiva si ferma purtroppo quasi interamente all'aspetto visivo. Ho riscontrato che i prezzi sono notevolmente più alti rispetto ad altri locali della stessa zona, un fatto che sarebbe giustificabile solo se l'offerta fosse all'altezza. Purtroppo, non è stato così. Abbiamo ordinato degli Spritz, pagandoli ben 8 o 9 euro ciascuno, un prezzo decisamente sopra la media. La vera delusione è stata constatare che, a fronte di questo costo elevato, non ci è stato servito nemmeno il più semplice degli accompagnamenti, neanche una ciotolina di noccioline o patatine, pratica invece comune in molti altri bar, anche meno pretenziosi. Questa sproporzione tra costo e servizio/offerta è stata evidente. Si paga essenzialmente per l'ambiente e la presentazione, ma il contenuto è minimo. Se cercate un posto bello da vedere per un drink veloce e non badate troppo al portafoglio o a ciò che accompagna il vostro aperitivo, potrebbe fare al caso vostro. Ma se cercate un'esperienza più completa, un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo o un aperitivo degno di questo nome, temo che il Kubla Khan lasci molto a desiderare.
