Maledetti Toscani Ristorante con Specialità Toscane — Restaurant in Rome

We booked at Maledetti Toscani because a friend was passionate about this place. I have to say. It was a surprise from every angle. The menu is very traditional. Food is delicious and well prepared. We had "pasta with ragù" for the children, which was yummy. The "Fiorentina" steak was a blast, and the side dishes, such as "cicoria ripassata", were well done. The wine list is a disaster. It is not updated, and most of the wines listed were unavailable. The place is in a residential neighbourhood, and finding a parking lot, at least during the weekend, is not impossible. The place needs renovation. There's only one bathroom but with a changing table. The furniture is ugly. The gigantic 3d printing on the wall is just out of context. All the pictures with the Tuscan celebrities are just tacky. The staff was attentive and helpful but discreet. They took care of the two little rascals at our table. Prices average for similar restaurants...

I searched via google: the best restaurant in Rome, and got Maledetti Toscano. we were served by very friendly, polite and good staff, it has good atmosphere. We had wonderful dinner in here. We ordered: Risotto: It’s yummy, the texture and the taste, combination from chicken, beef and duck. All together enriched the taste. Smokey duck is very special. Cheese Raviolli: the texture very soft, and the cheese inside very super duper yummy. Love it so much. Spaghetti with shell and asparagus: Unique taste of asparagus.. salted asparagus come from sea asparagus, The texture of spaghetti is chewy..very good combination between marinated asparagus and the shells. Best meal on our most recent visit to Roma....

So we were at a match in Stadio Olimpico and hungry afterwards. Not wanting another touristy place, we happened to find this gem in a rather residential neighbourhood. It was a hit! We had both primi and secondi and both of them were great, especially the pumpkin tortellini. The suggested wine was great with the food and to round it up we got a good dessert as well.
