Pepenero Pinseria & Cucina — Restaurant in Rome

We have tried a lot of restaurants in Rome, including in Roma Centro and this is a wonderful restaurant. The owners are lovely and the food is delicious. They are very kind to let us practice our Italian with them, which we are definitely beginners in. We loved the relaxing atmosphere on the patio and of course the pizza was to die for! Tip: Only eat here if you like blue cheese. This place had lots of seating and a unique menu. We ordered the honey nut pizza as well as the bacon zucchini pizza. Both were good and the price was good with respect to the portion size. The only downside is that they put blue cheese in all their pizza even though the menu does not indicate. Alcuni amici mi hanno trascinato in questa pinseria (nonostante il mio non ottimo rapporto con questa pietanza essendo amante della pizza napoletana). Purtroppo il ristorante è inserito in una via non felicemente famosa di Roma, ma vi assicuro che una volta entrati dimenticherete in che quartiere siete. Un posto veramente arredato stile rustico e casalingo, così come la sua cucina. Vi sembrerà di star mangiando dalla nonna, la cui cucina è impareggiabile rispetto a chiunque altro al mondo. Hanno una lavagna con inserite le specialità del giorno (dipendenti dalla stagionalità ovviamente). Noi abbiamo preso un misto fritto che abbiamo lasciato gestire al personale come scelta e quantità (facendo solo presenti allergie e intolleranze) e due pinse da dividere. Il supplì è una delizia da provare assolutamente, anche se io ho preferito ancora di più i piatti del giorno (olive ascolane tartufate e un fritto ripieno con mortadella e formaggio).
