If you’re an #American or non #italian speaking DO NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT I have not felt discriminated against for at least 20 years. And I felt so embarrassed in front of my kids tonight as this restaurant treated us like second class citizens. The initial greeting from the waiter was to drop the menu and say “sorry no English menu” and walk away. He then proceeded to go to to other waiters in the corner to laugh about it while they did no work for the rest of the event. Eventually they found one English speaking staff to wait our table. Our eventual waiter was amazing and I think that he almost felt sorry for us so he helped recommend some dishes and took our order while the other three clowns continued to do nothing all night but to stand around and laugh and point our way. Look I was committed because I just don’t want spit in my food so I took the bull shit. When I was done and paid I asked for the manager and told him that this was absolutely the worst dining experience I’ve had to endure and I have not experienced out-right discrimination for decades. . This restaurant can increase their profits by 3 folds by just firing at least 1/2 of the wait staff who stand around doing absolutely nothing. . Ultimately maybe they don’t care about neither reputation or profits. But as a consumer in 2024 I fell that it’s my job to let the world know what they can expect here. . So friends. If you ever come to #Rome skip this restaurant and go find Rome’s true hospitality somewhere that deserves your experience and above all your hard earned #dollar. #merica...

Visited here as we were staying quite close by, and there aren't many decent restaurants in this area of Rome, let alone any that are actually open.

We walked in off the street without a reservation, but even though the restaurant was really busy we were shown to a table.

Then we were just left unattended and ignored for about 15 minutes. Getting ready to walk out, an Italian couple who knew all the waiters shouted one of them over, gestured at our table and as result we were finally brought some menus.

The menu was completely in Italian which is understandable. But when we asked our waiter if they had a menu in English we were bluntly told no. My wife then tried to ask the waiter a few questions about the dishes. His response was I don't have time to explain I'm too busy and then walked off.

He was so rude, and we were made to feel so unwelcome. If this area of Rome wasn't so quiet we would have walked out.

But we were hungry and Google translate came to our assistance.

My wife ordered a ham and mushroom calzone and I ordered what was described via Google translate as naked chicken leg.

The Clazone was just OK. The naked chicken was really poor. It was some very dry and bland chicken with a few heavily salted potatoes, and literally a few bits of lettuce from a pre packed bag of lettuce. I thought the Italians were famed for good food, but so far in Rome I haven't experienced any amazing food. It certainly wasn't here at this place.

If you aren't a local I wouldn't bother going here unless you want to be ignored and then over pay for very...

Once our very fluent in English waiter understood we were there to eat the Italian way, all the courses in no hurry, we had the most amazing experience. We indicated what we wanted and allowed him to guide us and he made sure we ordered the best things they make, with the right combinations, amounts, and items that were local and in season with lovely very reasonable bottles of wine from Lazio. We ordered a couple items from each course and everything was; well words cant really do justice to our experience at this amazing affordable restaurant. It was one of those food, wine and desert experiences over four hours that I will never forget. Just excellent across the board. I hope they all are/become millionaires and live long...

Consigliatissimo 👍🏻
