This place is a perfect example of poor customer service. Our family comes to Rome frequently and we have our favourite spots. This was one of them. We would go for our breakfast in the mornings and pick up snacks and meals throughout the course of the day. Normally we frequent the same places but on our first visit back this summer on one hot July afternoon we were so poorly treated we will never return. We sat down after having ordered water bottles a caffe and a pastry. We sat for about twenty minutes as my son ate his pastry we had our drinks and my daughter tried to cool off. It was very evident that she was not feeling well. All the while a woman put up chairs on every table around us and complained that if we weren't eating why were we still there? in Italian (assuming we didn't understand). Italians have come a long way in customer service in the past twenty years, but apparently if you're into abuse there are still places that offer it. We will...

The food was incredible, some of the best we’ve had so far in Rome. Some more dishes after having eaten just pizza for a few days straight, having some other food options that explored more into italian styles aside from pizza was the reason i found this place so wonderful. We ordered some lasagna, an incredible cooked spinach dish, a rice dish with shrimp avocado and nectarines (personal favorite) as well as a great salmon plate. for 4 dishes and water we paid 30€.

Coming from a tourists perspective, and hearing the negative reviews, yes they don’t really speak english — but we made an effort to order in italian and that went a long way. I was able to say “Senza Glutine” since i am gluten-free and they were able to verify with the chef.

Le Sorelle Giordano sono un’istituzione nel quartiere Appio Claudio. Offrono un servizio eccellente che va dalla colazione a tutti i pasti della giornata, aperitivo compreso. Le materie prime sono di alta qualità. Non avendo molto tempo per cucinare, ricorro spesso alle pietanze cucinate giornalmente e mi salvano sempre pranzi e cene. Non è possibile dire cosa sia più buono. Ci andiamo da anni e abbiamo assaggiato praticamente tutto. Dai primi ai secondi alle verdure alla pizza ai fritti ai dolci. Tutti cibi di stagione. A ferragosto ho potuto mangiare il pollo con i peperoni che mi ricorda quello che faceva mia madre ogni anno. Per noi romani il pollo con i peperoni a ferragosto è una tradizione. Sono aperte praticamente tutto l’anno. Offrono un servizio eccellente con prezzi proporzionati al livello di qualità. Hanno una sensibilità imprenditoriale che le rende uniche nel quartiere: sono aperte quando tutti sono chiusi e non trovi neanche un bar per un caffè. Rappresentano un punto di riferimento e di affettuosa accoglienza. Il personale è sempre gentile e cerca di accontentare anche quei clienti che sarebbero a volte da cacciare per la maleducazione. Meritano tutto il successo che hanno perché nel loro lavoro mettono passione e impegno. Sono particolarmente esigente nel cibo per varie allergie e intolleranze e da loro trovo sempre cibi adatti a me. Non ho mai mangiato cibo scadente o non fresco. La cucina è semplice, con ingredienti come quelli che useresti a casa. A ferragosto ho assaggiato anche le lasagne bianche con zucchine e fiori di zucca ed erano squisite. Mi hanno salvato anche diverse cene o pranzi di Natale o cene con amici. Ho provato anche pan brioche, pizzette, panini e tramezzini per buffet o altre occasioni ed era tutto buonissimo.
