Keep away from this place - it’s a tourist trap!!!
We were a group of six. After lunch two people ordered dessert. The waitress asked do we want her to “put a little bit more” (her exact words) of one of the desserts, so that we can share. We said why not - we had a large lunch, so it seemed a nice gesture.
The dessert in question was indeed large, but it was brought on one plate, so there was no way of telling that it’s supposedly more than one order.
After the meal the waitress did not give us the receipt before she charged our card (it was gullible on our side not to check the receipt beforehand, I’ll admit that). We got the receipt only after we paid. To our surprise there were 3 orders of the dessert in question on the receipt (37,50 euro).
We complained to the waitress that we ordered only one dessert. She laughed at us and said “but you ate it “.
We went to complain to the manager (owner?) which was rude and dismissive. He insulted us (in English), then pretended not to speak English (when we wanted to explain the situation), finally started going about his own business and pretended that we are not there. At this point we demanded a refund for the two portions we did not order (25 euro out of a total bill of 180+ euro).
The staff were escalating the situation. One of the staff started threatening us to call the police, if we don’t leave the premises in two minutes (exact quote). To his surprise we asked him to do so. After some hesitation he called the police and spoke with them for a long time in local language. We later learned from the police officer that he told them that the owner offered us a refund, but we refused to take it and were difficult.
We waited for the police outside the bar. When the police came we explained the situation. The police officer was surprised to hear our complaint, because none of this was reported to them on the telephone. He proceeded to investigate the case. The owner/manager cold-heartedly lied to the police that we were served 3 orders of the dessert. The police officer said that he is not competent to rule on a consumer complaint and that we can file a complaint with the court. At this point we resigned - we already lost an hour for this.
Don’t be fooled by the instagramable terrace - this place is a tourist trap. They will try to cheat you when they spot a chance. The behaviour of the manger and the rest of the staff clearly suggest that this was not a mere misunderstanding - it seemed as if they had done it many times. It’s a shame, because the venue is very nice and the food was actually good - they could easily thrive without resorting to such...

What stole the show was the staff's extraordinary kindness – they generously refilled our water bottles at the bar, a thoughtful gesture that felt like an oasis after a long morning of hiking. Our waitress was particularly delightful, delivering top-notch service with a radiant smile.

Read moreGreat location and amazing views. The staff is friendly, the service is quick. Good menu with a lot of the ingredients sourced locally. The reason I am giving 2 stars is that unfortunately, the dish I ordered (spareribs) was really horrible. Probably the worst spareribs I have had. They were thin, very chewy, severely overcooked and looked/tasted old. Even the color of the ribs was bad. The side was potatoes (they were good) and cabbage salad (also ok). Gave my honest feedback to the waitress, she spoke to her colleagues, but they did nothing - they did not apologize, did not try to understand the issue, etc. The waitress was nice and it is not her fault - she did speak to her colleagues (probably one of them as a manager/superior). But my overall review of the restaurant is two stars - a restaurant with this location, menu and history should have a process to follow when something like...
