Hotel Poggio Radicati — Restaurant in Saluzzo

We had the most amazing wedding at Poggio Radicati. If we could give Marco, his wife Suelda, Gabriella and the rest of his team 20 stars, we would. Planning our wedding from the US was complicated and stressful. However, Marco was attentive and responsive from day one. Marco's conscientiousness and concern really did make our wedding day perfect. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and perfectly located and there is ample parking. We didn't have the usual worry about whether it would rain or not as the hotel has flexible and picturesque covered outdoor areas with beautiful and unobstructed views. The food was delicious local Piedmontese cuisine, yet Marco was able to accommodate dietary restrictions for gluten intolerant, vegan, and vegetarian diets, along with food allergies. Marco even helped us find our DJ last minute! When we met with Marco five months before the wedding, he prepared a tasting menu and wine pairing which affirmed that he was listening intently to all of our requests!  The resulting menu, food and presentation at the wedding itself were impeccable. The hors d'oeuvres and meal delighted eclectic foodies from several countries. On a side note, Marco was also very helpful in collaborating with our florist and cake provider. As a demonstration of Marco's concern and integrity, he dissuaded us from using the services of a local videographer whose business practices appeared questionable, which was immensely helpful to us so far away. In sum, thank you Marco and team! Conoscevo il posto solo per sentito dire, ma non avevo bene idea di come fosse, allora siccome si stava avvicinando il compleanno di mio marito e avevo piacere di portarlo in un posto elegante dove si mangiasse bene, sono andata a curiosare sul sito del Poggio Radicati. Ho subito trovato un sito ben curato, corredato da belle foto che presentano bene il locale e dove mi è stato possibile visionare anche il menú con una serie di piatti interessanti! Quindi mi sono convinta ed ho chiamato per prenotare trovando al telefono una persona molto gentile. Arrivati la sera prevista per la cena già dall’esterno l’impressione è stata molto positiva ed entrati poi nella hall abbiamo trovato un ambiente grande,molto ben arredato, ordinato e pulito e subito siamo stati accolti da un ragazzo di nome Daniele molto gentile e professionale che ci ha accompagnati subito al nostro tavolo. Il tavolo era stato apparecchiato all’esterno in un luogo riparato da una bella tettoia con teli trasparenti come tende a riparare la corrente visto che in quella serata a causa di un temporale il tempo era un po’ instabile ( tipo veranda molto ben curata ed elegante) da dove si poteva vedere un bel paesaggio illuminato di Saluzzo e campagne circostanti. Una volta accomodati ci è stato subito chiesto cosa desideravamo bere e successivamente ci è stata portato subito il menú e la carta dei vini. Nella carta dei vini c’è un ampia scelta sia di vini delle nostre zone, sia di altre regioni con prezzi giusti a seconda delle qualità. Il menù è anch’esso vario e c’e la possibilità di ordinare alla carta oppure ci sono 2 menù uno di terra e l’altro di mare. Noi abbiamo scelto i 2 menù, io quello di mare e mio marito quello di terra composti rispettivamente da 2 antipasti, un primo, un secondo e dolce. Abbiamo trovato tutti i piatti molto buoni, cucinati in modo ottimo, al punto giusto di cottura, molto ben impiattati e le quantità erano giuste, nè poco nè troppo abbondanti! Il personale è molto attento alle esigenze dei clienti, quando i piatti venivano serviti venivano molto ben spiegati, insomma ritengo che il personale sia veramente gentile e sopratutto professionale che ben si abbina all’eleganza del locale! Buona impressione anche sul conto a fine serata, giusto rapporto qualità -servizio e prezzo pagato!! Quindi in conclusione elegante, bello, ben curato, personale ottimo e cibo ottimo! Una pecca se si vuole proprio trovare un difetto: il percorso dall’uscita al parcheggio un po’ buio, ma si tratta comunque di pochi metri da percorrere. Nel complesso...

We had a truly wonderful stay at Poggio Radicati Hotel de Charme and regretted having to leave after only 2 nights. ||The rooms were comfortable and cozy and even though the weather was grey and gloomy, Marco, his wife and team made up for it with the most incredible food, wine, smiles and fabulous stories. ||We sampled a range of specialities from the region and from the Spinach cake with fried egg yolk to the veal cheeks in Barolo every bite was incredible.
