This refuge is a really good place to eat, the food is great in quality, but really leaks in quantity! And the prices are not even proportioned with the quantity.
So recap:
Food
Quantity: too less (for example a plate of fettuccine weights like 60-70 grams, and other plates are not garnished at all, example, if you order polenta with mushrooms, you only get some polenta with a couple spoons of mushrooms.
Price: really bad. 16€ for fettuccine and 15€ for polenta, too bad for the quantity. If you are here in two, expect to spend not less than 60-80€ - felt like a tourist trap.
Quality: the quality of the dishes was optimal, a bit too spicy for my liking but ok overall.
Service
Time: excellent service overall and not too much to wait, served really fast ( there were only us + 2 tables occupied )
Ambient
A pretty good view from outside and cozy inside, but the toilets were literally 1 square foot.
Like I said, it's a good place overall, but not for those who expect to really eat, portions are small and the price is really high, so keep...
Read moreThis is a magical place with a stunning view of the monte Antelao and of the valley below. The food was exceptional. We had the delicious fettuccine with funghi porcini, salsiccia and zafferano, followed by the polenta with a creamy baccalà, one of the best we have tried. Finally, we tried three dolci della casa, the gelato al mascarpone e pera, the strudel and the panna cotta con fragole. Everything was delicious, I can't say enough good things. To top it off, the owners and the chef came out to chat with us! They were so friendly and kind, we will definitely be back....
Read moreThe best food we have had in the area. So good we have been back twice. A lovely walk up but also drivable (note at the date of this review Google Maps will send you down a road being redeveloped so use the south road). Excellent service, welcoming chef, excellent pasta, fresh produce. What more can you ask for. Ignore the nonsense reviews about small portions. These are honest portions using good produce. If you want cheap large portions go to a...
