English Version: It's simple, you don't go there to buy friendliness, kindness, or hygiene, just food: FOOD: We tried the sfincione, caponata, and peppers. The plain stincione was very good, the caponata was nothing special, and the pepper were home bad. PRICES: Interesting how there's a nice menu with specific prices for rotisserie items. When it comes to caponata, etc., there's no price per kilo, obviously, and they clearly set the price randomly based on the accent. This is clear because we went twice and a smaller quantity cost us 12 and a larger one 9. HYGIENE: Unheard of and embarrassing, the lady with dark glasses removing pieces of tomato from the sfincione for some unknown reason, given that it was paid for by hand without gloves, without asking giving any explanation with her bare hands after touching everything. Obviously, this is what we were supposed to eat. Not satisfied, she also squashed all three slices of sfincione on top of each other without dividers, so that everything blended together nicely... TOP. KINDNESS: Well, what can I say? People who shout at each other among colleagues, not a single kind or polite word, truly unheard of. You're definitely not going to make friends, but at least to be treated with dignità. Review based on three visits due to other places not having...
Read moreThere is street food and then there is Mancia e vattinni...total value for money...super friendly staff...and English is great...what more could you ask...the menu is bari d, they have pizzas, paninis, burgers, fri d stuff in come, nice drinks. Service is quick, open till late and oh did I say great value for money. There are some other so called 'Street Food' restaurants around, but Mancia e vattinni is authentic, portions are hearty and ingredients are tasty...e.g., Pranza (mixed sea food cone) has sweet, juicy shrimps here, whereas other places you get tasteless piece of meat that might look like a tiny shrimp...anyhow, I like this place because it has a local charm to it, staff are eager to serve you and are very very very polite... something that you don't find often in this side of the country....
Read moreI don't know how this place doesn't have better ratings. First day we arrived they didn't have the fresh tuna sandwich and gave us a mini pizza gratis. Second time we arrived they gave as an extra portion of the best pasta Fresca for 5euros and said it's all good. The sword fish sandwich is absolutely mindblowing, and the whole place is cute as a button with the Sicilian decorations. I simply loved this place although it's not a place to sit down and drink wine I always ate there and then went somewhere for a drink. Best...
