Ristorante A lampara di LaSala P. — Restaurant in San Vito Lo Capo

First time in San Vito Lo Capo, unfortunately managed to fall on this restaurant without checking it’s reviews. It was their last day of service as the staff were constantly repeating. It felt like they were giving all their leftovers. Couscous with fish, no fish was there it was purely the rests of fish. All the dishes we had were not to standard, if it weren’t our first stop we’d have stood up and left. I don’t usually downgrade restaurant but for this exception do yourself a favour...

Sono stato a cena con la mia fidanzata durante la settimana del cous cous fest, abbiamo ordinato due antipasti ( un'insalata di mare e una caponata di tonno consigliata dal titolare ); sono arrivati due piatti tristissimi, l'insalata senza alcun sapore, 4 pezzettini di polpo messi assieme ad una giardiniera del supermercato e la caponata fatta di melanzane estremamente unte e soprattutto calde (quando in realtà il piatto va servito freddo) e il tonno quasi inesistente; poi siamo passati ai primi ( una busiata con spada e melanzane e un risotto alla marinara ), la pasta era insapore e piena di panna, il riso invece Scotto. Ho chiesto gentilmente al titolare se si potesse rimediare al riso perché immangiabile, non solo mi sono sentito preso in giro con sorrisini, se lo riporta indietro dicendomi che me lo avrebbe fatto rifare e dopo 5 minuti torna esattamente con lo stesso piatto che aveva appena ritirato a tavola. Onestamente ho trovato la cosa di cattivo gusto e poco professionale; glielo faccio notare e si giustifica dicendo che io avrei dovuto comprenderli vista la confusione. Dico che non giustifico proprio nulla perché i servizi li avrei pagati e quindi desideravo mangiare quello che pago. La risposta ultima è stato l'ennesimo sorrisino fastidioso. Ho pagato e sono andato via digiuno. Sconsiglio vivamente questo posto, perché si preferisce la quantità alla qualità. Do una stella perché purtroppo...

Decent seafood and pasta. Staying at the beach hotel, this was a short nice walking distance and wanted to try it. We insisted in the outside seating (was too hot inside), staff was nice and helpful, we were seated outside. Great people watching location, and it is crowded. Enjoyed the food and wine, but not quite a 4-5 star place because the food and experience is not at that level (while the prices are). Happy we sampled it, but would keep on exploring...
