B&B Da Franco — Restaurant in Santa Marina Salina

Arriving to encounter a deserted reception and a discarded fly swat and mouse trap was disconcerting. The expensive (top end prices for the island) restaurant had only one cover for the two nights (Fri and Sat) we stayed - must say something about the venue, as we found a busy restaurant with superb food and excellent service at the nearby Mamma Santina. Our bathroom had limited toiletries and smelled of sewerage both nights. ||||We had a wonderful view over to Lipari and Stromboli from a large balcony. The room was spacious and comfortable, decorated in a typical Aeolian style. Absolutely loved our stay at Da Franco in Salina. Service was very very good (thank you Enrico), the included breakfast was delicious basic but delicious, location easy and staff super helpful. The pool was unbelievable with incredible views and the experience just good value for money overall. Also ate a delicious amatriciana pasta in the restaurant there. Already wanting...
