Trattoria Cucinotta — Restaurant in Santa Marina Salina

We tried to swing by for lunch on our first day here but the kitchen was closing soon (trust me, I understand), so we attempted dinner. Everyone was so unbelievably lovely, and accommodated my husband and I with a beautiful table on the upper balcony with stunning views of the ocean and Lipari sparking in the night. The food was delicious, the seafood so beautiful and out of this world, even simply prepared raw with olive oil and sea salt, and most importantly the waitstaff was warm and attentive but in no way made us feel rushed. We have been there on a low-season weekly day, there were almost no other tourists on the island and surprisingly we had a very good service and several options. The place has a beautiful view and it offers the traditional Aeolian cuisine (btw the Aeolian spaghetti is vegan). We had a lovely experience at Trattoria Cucinotta. First of all, the view is absolutely amazing. Second of all, the food is excellent!
