There is no words it’s diabolical! They have no clue how a service should be run and at 4.50euro per person just for the table and service? Obviously it’s not written anywhere. 30 euro for a very mediocre Orvieto! also corked witch you can buy at Lidl for 3.20 euro. That’s fine chicken escalope was off, what a rip off I don’t mind paying but this is taking the mick! Asked for a cappuccino three times still did not get it and was charged. I just paid it as could not be asked to explain as will not Ever Ever Ever going back! The worst is all these Italian lovely people (local and not local, get ripped off here just because I think they don’t know any better.) Thing is if you come out satisfied and not felt you are being conned would be lovely but I think around here the business are all the same mentality. Places that are dirty no facilities not even welcoming you. What I mean I am at sirenetta ristorante in Santa Marinella, and avoided eating there as the chef was scratting his privates and then going back there make his food. So we went next door as it looked a bit cleaner. But hey ho! Had to open the bottle of wine myself as the waitress wasn’t trained on it, (for a very mediocre wine at 30 euro a bottle) in the end we paid the bill and left. These people do not deserve our money for what they do! It doesn’t matter if we think it’s still cheaper, it’s not about the money it’s about the way it’s done! I am from the same culture and never dream to treat paying customers like that! Just saying, rant over but needs...
Read moreIf you are a tourist, DO NOT come here because they will look you up and down and greet you with judgmental looks. The only good reviews are from italians. First of all, They ask if you are going to eat or drink, and if you are going to spend little money, they probably won't let you in. We said we were going to do both and that's how we went in. However, the waiter received a shouting reaction from the owner of the restaurant because he seated us at a nice table. Later, when the waiter said we will have both food and drinks, the owner calmed down. We thought the fiasco would be limited to this until our meals arrived. The food is extremely TASTELESS. We asked for ketchup and mayonnaise for the potatoes, and I reminded it to three different waiters within 40 minutes, and none of them cared. Finally, I went to the bar and asked for it myself. And no, the place was not crowded. Some of the waiters were trying to get everywhere, while others were just standing around. Extremely unpleasant welcoming with extremely plain food. In short, it's a disgraceful place. If there was a 0 option, I would give 0. Also your name rhymes with Fiasco try to change it to that since it’s...
Read moreI am surprised by the bad reviews. 1st, let’s take into consideration where we are. A beach town outside of Rome - not a Michelin star; don’t expect 5 star service. On that note; our food and drinks came out quite quickly; fresh, steaming and hot. We had the calamari/moscardini fried, fried anchovies and the veal schnitzel. All 10/10. 2nd, If we needed something we would just flag down a server and just ask for and the owner did pop by twice to see how things were. She was very kind and friendly. Also, all the tables are a reasonable distance apart and it’s extremely easy to grab a servers attention. The view is unbeatable and everything is shaded and the prices are very fair. Only thing that was strange was no Spritz during the day? We arrived at 1pm (opening) and we did notice after that we had asked and were denied, that everyone else did only have beer or wine. I’ve never heard of this before - especially in italy haha This is actually one of the best/better beach restos I’ve been to in Europe and we will come again...
