Disappointing Experience at Ristorante Isola del Pescatore We arrived with high expectations – Brazilian tourists visiting with our Roman friends – but sadly, we left without even ordering due to the poor treatment we received. We were seated next to the kitchen, where it felt like an oven, with temperatures around 38°C (100°F). We politely asked to be moved to one of the many free tables outside, but the waiter responded rudely and made inappropriate jokes, making us feel unwelcome and mocked. We were deeply offended and chose to leave immediately. This kind of customer service is completely unacceptable, especially in a restaurant located in a tourist area that should value hospitality. There are many other places where guests are treated with the kindness and respect they deserve. I strongly do not recommend this place

Iniziamo con un vino ottimo che ci è stato consigliato e io consiglio a voi "Riflessi" frizzantino ma si abbinava con tutte le portate da noi scelte. 2 antipasti di Misto mare vengono portate varie ciotoline con antipasti caldi e freddi iniziando con una ciotolina di crudi. Ogni sapore di questo antipasto era fresco secondo me una delle particolarità di questo posto oltre la qualità del pesce è che riescono a dare un sapore leggero e fresco usando le piante aromatiche giuste a un piatto che puoi aver mangiato per una vita ma in questo ristorante sarà diverso. Mio marito per proseguire ha scelto una Tartare di cui è rimasto soddisfatto condita al punto giusto senza coprire il sapore del salmone...avocado fragoline di bosco more lamponi e mirtilli per accompagnare il pesce. Io come primo ero molto indecisa c'era più di uno che mi invogliava alla fine nel tavolo accanto al nostro c'erano due ragazzi che facevano i complimenti al loro primo così ho voluto provare anch'io . Non ho letto il nome sul menù perché ho semplicemente detto "quello che avevano i ragazzi 😅" ma era una pasta acqua e farina lunga tipo fettuccine deliziose con gambero rosso datterino giallo e bottarga...BUONISSIMA semplice ma veramente buona. Ho preso anche il dolce un tronchetto alla nocciola è un gelato pieno di nocciole tostate con cioccolato fuso sopra ottimo👍🏻 Sempre per tornare al discorso che una cosa semplice riescono a farla diventare magica. E mentre aspettavo il dolce è arrivato un secchio pieno di chupa chups con questo gesto ci avete fatto tornare bambini e mio marito ama le caramelle !!! Un caffè e un amaro. Era la prima volta che venivamo abbiamo soggiornato al castello per un weekend e abbiamo voluto provare non è stato facile prenotare perché erano pieni ma un posto per 2 sono riusciti a trovarlo per nostra fortuna...io leggo molto le recensioni ecco forse perché faccio lunghe 3km le mie , cerco di essere precisa 😅 comunque ero indecisa sul venire o no perché nelle recensioni da me lette si parlava di un locale che dopo il covid non è più come prima ...di un locale troppo caro.. ecc.. Io non so come era prima del covid ma consiglio questo posto . allego la foto dello scontrino per mostrare i prezzi e dirvi che è pesce fresco ..e per me vale il prezzo pagato. Alla prossima 👋🏻

In occasione di una passeggiata sul litorale laziale lungo la Via Aurelia, decidiamo di fermarci ad ammirare il Castello di Santa Severa (RM) e di cenare in questo rinomato ristorante in riva al mare a pochi passi dal castello. Accoglienza tiepida ma serena, il titolare che ci ha preso l'ordine pohissimo sorriso per badare al sodo: a noi non piace l'eccesso di confidenza o l'invadenza, ma un poco di giusta convivialità del gestore come di chi ci serve al tavolo è da sempre uno di quegli elementi che ci fanno godere meglio una buon pasto come questo e ci fanno tornare ancor più volentieri. Personale giovane, professionale ed efficiente. Ambiente chic degno di un ristorante di tale livello, decisamente non meritevole però della vista sul bagno con porta aperta, a pochissimi metri di distanza dal gradevolissimo spazio tavoli subito sopra la spiaggia in cui eravamo seduti, bagno da cui usciva un odore poco piacevole da sentire mentre si mangia del buon pesce. Vuole certamente essere, questo, solo un consiglio alla gestione per una maggiore attenzione a dettagli importanti in un certo livello di ristorazione. Menù che offre valide portate ovviamente a base di mare. Si percepisce la mano in cucina di un bravo chef che compone abilmente materia prima e ingredienti freschi e di qualità. L'insalata di mare interessante ma a nostro personale giudizio un poco troppo corposa e ricca rispetto a quella che generalmente si trova in ristoranti medio-alti, ovviamente a parità di buona freschezza del piatto. I tagliolini hanno solleticato gradevolmente il nostro palato, sarebbero stati perfetti con meno condimento sul fondo. Sommando tutti gli elementi della nostra esperienza culinaria in questo locale, viene fuori un giudizio abbastanza positivo ma leggermente affievolito da un conto un briciolo eccessivo. La qualità non manca e quando c'è giustamente si paga, per carità, lo sosteniamo da sempre ma, girando da anni per vari tipi e livelli di ristoranti, qui riteniamo personalmente, tutto quanto considerato, che un buon contributo al prezzo viene dato anche dalla suggestiva posizione fronte mare.

the location is beautiful , in front of the sea and the famous Santa severa castle. we arrived expecting for a table with sea view but when we arrived there was no place although it was established by phone that there was the possibility to have a place reserved there as we asked. when we arrived the rude waiter told that they are not able to ensure nothing , but I do think it's quite unprofessional to say to a client that they might have it just for the sake of getting more clients , otherwise we would not have comed. you should be sure when a client asks you if the tables in front of the sea will be occupied or not. indeed the waiter told us that the reservation in front of the sea follows the order of reservation, which I do agree; that's fair enough, but please just be honest about it. Also they called us again this morning and we proceeded to say that we wanted the place in front of the sea , and neither this morning they told anything about it. regarding the food, the quality price ratio isn't fair , though the food was good . Unfortunately there was the unpleasant situation of having bees around the food continuously and ants that sometimes crawl on the table but it's not a big of a deal. Awful experience....don’t trust parking On our way from Tuscany to Rome, we wanted to stop for a good lunch. This restaurant had the best recommendations so we wanted to try it. Especially because you could park before the restaurant! BUT We were not allowed to park close to the restaurant from an older park guard,but were however glad to be able to pay for a parking a little further. After having payed to two girls, we went for lunch. We got a table in the back, very hot, and Service was not totally friendly but okay. Food was however good. But after lunch we went back to the car...no PARKING GUARD anymore...no luggage anymore... NOTHING left...we went back to the restaurant. They were friendly offered us some water and called the police...police would come...but after some time they said that the police wouldn’t come...but the responsible of the car parking come..luckily my husband went to the police in the meantime....because the help of the restaurant never came!!!! Strange .....strange aswell that nobody in this busy place saw anything!!! How is it possible that two girls right in front of your restaurant ask money to park the car, without knowing them.....I’m sorry we feel and are robbed...so even if food is good I would not recommend the place....not only because you will get robbed but especially because they don’t...

I am very disappointed to have to review Isola del Pescatore so poorly but unfortunately times have changed, and so has my opinion on this place.

This place used to be a family staple for years, the food is impeccable, the view is breathe-taking but unfortunately the ambiance and staff manners have spiraled and taint the experience as a whole. The restaurant has gained immense success over the years, which is a testament to how good the business model was conceived - despite a steep price increase (politely justified in their menu).

However I am sorry to have noticed that long gone are the days of it being a “cozy family-run shack by the castle”…arrogance can only go so far, no matter how delicious your food may taste or beautiful your views may be. Personally, I don’t want to be treated better only because I am more of a show-off of a customer of because I boast friendlier ties with...
