Ristorante Gustó — Restaurant in Santu Diadòru/San Teodoro

We really enjoyed this restaurant, we were a little suspicious because it was quite empty at a fairly busy time. It soon got busy though, and I’m glad we took the chance. It is in the heart of the town centre, and all night there was a lovely atmosphere with people everywhere enjoying their evening. We were served by Hene, who was delightful. Very friendly and great with the kids, he is Brazilian but spoke perfect English, also happily allowed me to practice my terrible Italian on him. The food was absolutely lovely, some real traditional local favourites as well as some fantastic pasta and fish dishes. Not huge portions, but I felt value for money was good. CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD RECEIPT. They ran my card for significantly more than my bill, then the owner refused to show me the credit card receipt, holding it face down to his chest and almost getting into a physical altercation when I demanded to see my receipt. He ran back into the kitchen yelling “this is my receipt not your receipt!” I tried to catch him but not worth being pulled into a random kitchen with criminals. I waited outside for him to return and eventually gave up after making sure to tell all customers to check their receipt and not let them rip you off.

The pizza was awful (as shown in the other ratings). The service was awful. And they are absolute con men who robbed me.

Please do yourself a favor. Avoid at all costs. If you get STUCK here, check your receipt closely and pay cash. Here is my 35 euro check for one...

I don’t often write google reviews, but in this case I really had no choice. Worst food I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant. After 70 minutes of waiting, we finally got our two pasta dishes, although the store was empty in the mean time. The waiter replied only with the phrase “sorry for the timing.” The taste was catastrophic (carbonara with two burnt bacon strips).
