Il Loggiato — Restaurant in Sarzana

I could write a poem to describe this place, starting from the marvelous interior, until the extremely kind and professional service. However, if I should summarise the whole in just a word, the first one coming to my mind is “amazing”. Because this is not just a restaurant as someone may usually conceive, this is an experience with capital E! The quality of the food is almost going in a second stage comparing to how your eyes will be caught by the enormous amount of decorations details, spread throughout the whole restaurant which neither seems actually a restaurant, but more a medieval villa where the time stopped at 1300. Even the cutlery seems coming from that time, massive but in the same time refined. Just to let you understand, with my wife and a friend of mine all of us living in Budapest we have already discussed to organise a flight to Pisa just to have a lunch/dinner here. Unfortunately the "boeuf Robespierre" was nearly cold when it was served. Even after telling the servant and a second try it was served just a bit warmer. While the employees were friendly, the lady who took the orders and was in charge of the place was unfriendly and in a bad mood right from the start, not willing to understand our needs later on. Lots of restaurants are by far better in this town. Guests from different tables were placed so close together that they could nearly not move. Siamo stati in questo locale sabato sera. Il cibo era buono e ben presentato, ma purtroppo tutto il resto ha rovinato l’esperienza. All’arrivo ci siamo sentiti dire che la nostra prenotazione “non risultava”, nonostante fosse stata confermata telefonicamente. Dopo un atteggiamento scocciato, ci hanno fatto accomodare a un tavolo non apparecchiato, con la tovaglia sporca e bagnata. Un’accoglienza davvero pessima. Le attese lunghe possono anche essere comprensibili in un sabato sera, ma la professionalità del personale è stata quasi inesistente: una cameriera ha portato il caffè senza vassoio, tenendo la tazzina con il dito poggiato proprio dove il cliente deve bere. Inaccettabile sotto ogni punto di vista. La ciliegina sulla torta è arrivata al momento del conto: abbiamo pagato 197€ in contanti, ma alla richiesta dello scontrino ci è stato consegnato uno già pronto, preso da una pila di scontrini vicino alla cassa. Lo scontrino riportava 195€, con un orario diverso e chiaramente non riferito al nostro tavolo. Un comportamento scorretto e poco trasparente. Peccato, perché la cucina meriterebbe, ma con un servizio così scadente e pratiche discutibili non torneremo di certo e non ci sentiamo di consigliare...
