Agricola Fore Porta is not a lodging establishment but a ristorante and farm, based on my understanding. I came across it on my first evening in Amalfi while climbing up away from the busy central portion of the town. I was told they were only open for lunch so decided to make it my destination on my second day. Agricola Fore Porta is open between 12:00 and 15:00 or 15:30. Luckily, I arrived before 12:30, for without a reservation, I was one of the last two tables they could accommodate due to being fully booked. And the wonderful staff explained it would be about an hour wait for food due to the full booking. The wait was worth it: I don't consider myself a foodie, but AFP could make me one. I've been in Italy and San Marino for a month--in Milano, Venezia, Citta di San Marino, Ercolano, Sorrento, Napoli, Firenze, Salerno, and now Amalfi. I've had some amazing gastronomic experiences, but the food here was singular, maybe because they grow much of what they serve and pick it the morning before they open. I had spaghetti with cream of zucchini flower sauce and grilled zucchini and grilled pumpkin. Absolutely fantastico. If you visit Amalfi make reservations at least once for lunch at...

Visiting Agricola Fore Porta was one of the most unforgettable experiences of our entire trip. The journey alone — a peaceful walk through breathtaking Amalfi scenery and fragrant lemon groves — sets the stage for something truly special. And it absolutely delivers.
Everything about this place is authentic, warm, and full of heart. It’s family-run, and you can feel the love in every detail — from the warm hospitality to the incredible food and drinks, all made from ingredients grown right on their own farm.
The food was beyond amazing — fresh, rustic, and full of flavor. Every dish tasted like it came straight from the earth and onto our plates, prepared with genuine care and traditional techniques. The drinks were equally fantastic, especially their homemade lemon juice cocktails!
The service was so personal and kind — you’re welcomed like old friends and treated like part of the family.
Agricola Fore Porta is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience, a peaceful retreat, and a true taste of Amalfi. We couldn’t recommend it more highly. If you’re in the area, this is an absolute must-do!
They truly made my 30th Birthday one to remember!

On a 36 degree day in the middle of summer, this is quite the experience itself BUT totally worth it in my opinion!! Once we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a lovely female hostess who continued to serve us during our time there and we had great service the throughout. The atmosphere and views from the outdoor covered terrace were a perfect setting for our meal. After that hike, drinks are offered first and I cant highly recommend enough the lemon granita as it was delicious in flavour and super refreshing (a limoncello version was also available) The menu offered a great selection of appetizers and courses as well as daily specials. The food we ordered was very fresh as you would expect from a farm to table restaurant and very well prepared and cooked. The farmers salad and pasta we ordered were all very delicious. Worthwhile to book in advance and highly recommend and wish to thank Agricola Fore Porta for an...
