FAHD Sushi bar — Restaurant in Scalea

The interior looks modern and nice. I had something like a poké bowl and that was quite tasty. The sushi had too much rice and tastewise they were ok. We had two cocktails, mine was not good but drinkable and my partner ordered an old fashioned which was VERY bitter. We both worked at a bar before and we know how it should taste. We asked the waiter to change and do a long island instead (we did not drink the old fashioned). When I asked to pay the bill, I see that the waited added all three cocktails to the bill. I asked whether the old fashioned will stay on the bill. The waiter started to shout that he did it the way it should be done and when I started to explain that we didn't drink it and it was bitter he interrupted me, continued talking very loud. He removed the drink from the bill but he was throwing some stuff quite aggressively (ice, receipts etc) and demonstrating how pissed off he is. Considering that the original bill was almost 90 and eventually we paid 80 (please keep in mind average prices in Scalea) I think that there should be a decent customer service which was clearly non existent because the waiter was giving...

The staff at FAHD Sushi Bar in Scalea is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. However, when ordering a set advertised as 22 pieces, one would expect 22 pieces of sushi. While the sushi itself was average in quality and on the expensive side, the tempura shrimp was truly delicious and the highlight of our meal. Piacevole scoperta. Ne ho provati tanti, fin'ora tutti a Napoli, e il FAHD Sushi Bar si è dimostrato all'altezza, superando brillantemente le mie aspettative. Locale davvero ben curato, personale gentilissimo e veloce, che pur non avendo io prenotato in anticipo, sono riusciti a farmi sedere e servirmi in tempi brevissimi. Ma soprattutto sushi e ingredienti di ottima qualità. Il sashimi era freschissimo e davvero ottimo, furomaki e uromaki buoni seppur non eccellenti, e infine il ramen da leccarsi davvero i baffi, buonissimo. Infine ci è stato offerto dal proprietario un sorbetto al limone e zenzero, davvero buono. Il prezzo è in linea con la qualità degli ingredienti. Menù non vastissimo (solo alla carta e non all you can eat), ma a mio parere meglio averne uno selezionato e di qualità che molto vario e di qualità più bassa. Che dire, se fin'ora dovevo aspettare di andare a Napoli per gustare del buon sushi, ora mi basterà andare a Scalea....
