Poor service, unseasoned poorly cooked food, some of it was unedible.
The salad was fine, octopus was average, and fried onions were actually pretty good. That's it for the good side of it, unfortunately.
Gnocchi were bland, boring, and barely edible. You can make better ones from the frozen premade gnocchi in the supermarket just with a touch of salt. When giving feedback about it, we were told that they are supposed to be like that. They are intentionally serving bad food for 12 euro per portion, that's a great start!
Fish wasn't great either, likely frozen. Edible, but not good.
Fried shrimps still had shell on them, which would be totally fine if they weren't deep-friend and breaded. So in this case, by removing shell, you also remove all the flavor.
Pasta was very bland - no sauce, a little bit of water from boiled crayfish on it though. Crayfish itself was very depressed, sitting on the edge of the plate, overcooked to damnation. Looked like it was boiled for several hours.
After returning gnocchi back to the kitchen (didn't eat it, wanted something edible), I've tried my luck with beef. Asked for medium rare - received cremated unseasoned slice of cow.
Home vine was mid. Grappa was good. My estimate is that you need around 10 shots of grappa to enjoy food here, but we decided not to go to such extremes, and go to another restaurant.
In the end, no discount for basically untouched food, service fee still included. It felt like it was our fault for not liking the disgrace they are seving.
2/10, where +1 is for fried onions. Would...
Read moreGreat view, fantastic peaceful square in old city. tasty wine. octopus salad was fantastic. fried fish with vegetables was so-so (overfried towards the rubber condition + vegetables are mostly potatoes, not very exciting...). bad stale bread (also which bring only at your request). and they make you order water, which makes the whole affair a bit bad-taste (why not to make a dish a bit more expenisive but to give tap water for free?..). The desert (creme calabrese) was the best part of it! Prices ok. Service nice. Closing at 10.30,...
