Edit: owner claims it was a more expensive wine. But there is not even a wine for 12€ on the menu at this point in time. And now they’ve changed the prices so that the price for 1/4 is 6€ now 😂 screenshots attached

Claimed that the wine was twice as expensive as it should have been. Ordered 1 l of white wine in total (2x0,5 l), should have been 12€ total. There were two times 12€ on the bill, which we noticed. My Italian godfather went and inquired about it, to which they responded this was the normal price. Later at home we checked their menu again because we remembered the restaurant has an online menu. The price for 1/2 l is 6€, not 12€. So they ripped us off and then lied to my godfather’s face. My godfather went again to inquire about it again, knowing the real price. They still refused to refund the money. Never again. .|.

Edit: my godfather also asked for an off-menu plate of spaghetti with a pomodorini sauce for me, which they charged 12€ for…guess I can’t really complain about that since we didn’t ask, but it’s completely overpriced for what it is, namely spaghetti, little tomatoes, some butter and herbs and spices.

Edit 2: even if it WAS true and he served the most expensive wine without asking, that‘s still a rip-off, now trying to cover it up is very ridiculous...

First if you’re going to have a cover charge let me know up front when I come in the door. Not when I get the bill. I ordered beef and was given breaded chicken cutlet. No offer to remove from bill or compensate in any way. Will take my money elsewhere if they even care. Revision: I do appreciate how you take my concerns to heart. I did make my menu choice clear to the waitress and she assured me the order was for beef and when she brought it to the table she said she was wrong and it was chicken on the menu not beef. Locale carino e personale gentile! Ci sono stata stasera ma abbiamo atteso (come molti prima di me ho visto hanno scritto) due ore e più prima di due misere pizze! Una pizza stella poco farcita (molto arronzata perché a fine serata)! Tre bambini piccoli che aspettavano la pizza e continuavano a dire di aver fame, la piccola di 4 anni piangeva…. Parto dal presupposto che ho lavorato nei ristoranti e ne ho mangiati in molti e non ho mai visto un servizio pessimo come questo! D’altronde la signora seduta al tavolo accanto a noi anch’essa con 3 figli si è lamentata e se ne voleva andare! Ripeto, ho letto che è una cosa che succede spesso! Forse sarebbe giusto accettare umilmente le critiche e cercare di perfezionarsi piuttosto che peccare di presunzione! Del resto non si può vivere della sola clientela locale! In ultimo prezzi davvero esagerati! 12€ un antipasto davvero misero! Peccato! Potrebbero davvero essere un punto di forza del centro di Scalea! Non consiglio!
