A place we can’t resist regularly returning to during the relaxing evenings of our holidays in Scalea. The service system (first pay and get a number to be served) works efficiently. You are allowed to taste before you decide and even our indecisive children were met with patience. The several types of gelato we have tried are all excellent and don’t even raise the sugar levels… Best cones come with the ‘piccolo’ option: for only 2,50 euro you can get one or two delicious flavours. My personal favourites are the pistacchio, the tiramisu, and the cioccolato fondente.

Me and my wife visited this café several times during our trip to Scalea and absolutely loved it! The cappuccino with cannoli was delicious, the ice creams were amazing, and the fruit non-alcohol cocktails were very tasty. Cozy place, great flavors, and a spot we kept coming back to. Highly recommended!

Il gelato qui è davvero buonissimo, e per diversi giorni siamo venuti a comprarlo per i bambini durante il pomeriggio. Oggi siamo tornati con degli amici. Abbiamo comprato 6 gelati (piccoli e grandi) e ci siamo seduti a un tavolino. Come si vede nella foto, i tavoli non erano occupati. Un cameriere si è avvicinato e ci ha letteralmente cacciati via, dicendo che per sedersi al tavolo bisogna ordinare il gelato nel bicchiere di vetro (come ha detto lui). Sono sicura che abbiamo speso più noi per i nostri 6 gelati di quanto abbiano speso, per esempio, le quattro persone sedute accanto che condividevano un solo gelato. Non mi è mai successo di essere mandata via da un tavolo in una gelateria, è stato davvero spiacevole. Abbiamo finito il gelato seduti su un marciapiede, per evitare che i bambini lo mangiassero camminando e si sporcassero. L’umore era rovinato. Di sicuro non torneremo più.

Me and my wife visited this café several times during our trip to Scalea and absolutely loved it! Reluctant and arrogant service. Intentionally mixed up the password for WiFi. Took a ridiculously high price for ice cream. Clearly hates tourists. We paid 10 euros for two scoops of ice cream and two small and light amaretto cookies. We connected to the Internet in several different cafes and restaurants in Scalea and everything went smoothly, in this place we received several times a non-exhaustive explanation of the password and did not receive the name of the network at all. Gelato are very good, but coffe is terrible. We ordered two espressos and immediately noticed a moldy taste – they were very unpleasant. They were served without water, and after 30 minutes my stomach felt upset and became unwell from the coffee. I even vomited – avoid this place if you are looking for...
