Pizzeria Eden — Restaurant in Sperlonga

I do not understand any of the positive reviews and most importantly, I don’t understand why this restaurant was packed with Italians. After 40 years in Italy, the pizza was just edible (chewy dough that I couldn’t cut, very little flavors from the toppings, barely any sauce) the service was slow (55 minutes wait for a pizza… do not go with hungry children or it will be pure torture - the whole point of grabbing a pizza instead of eating a ‘proper’ meal is to have a quick meal!) Wowwwwww! What a place & what a pizza! This restaurant has been around since 1982! The service is fantastic. We asked for the chef’s best choices. We had fried anchovies, fried zucchini & some olives to start. All were cooked perfectly. The pizza’s we had were Margherita, Diavolo, Caprese focaccia & another with an artichoke paste - all were phenomenal! We ate here 2x in our short stay because the meal & service were so great! Ore di attesa, personale stanco e disorganizzato, musi lunghi e scocciati. Ha fatto due gocce che purtroppo hanno bagnato tutti i tavoli e non sono stati in grado di farsi trovare pronti con gli ombrelloni. Ci siamo dovuti alzare e scappare con i piatti in mano, mentre loro -goffi- cercavano di aprire gli ombrelloni. Hanno dovuto rifare tutti i coperti e asciugare le sedie. Tornati al tavolo, si saranno accumulate le comande ma sembrava di essere in un gioco di bambini di 5 anni che vengono ti chiedono cosa vuoi e poi tornano e te lo richiedono.. che caos! Finalmente arrivano le pizze, dopo 37 minuti di attesa e qui lo scandalo vero:: mio marito ha preso una "delicata" che si trova nel menù tra le "pizze speciali", al prezzo di ben 11 euro! Mozzarella, zucchine e salmone, la pizza che arriva era una zucchine e mozzarella punto! 4 quadratini 4 e ripeto 4 di salmone di 2 cm. VI DOVETE VERGOGNARE!
