Paulon di Vino Caffè — Restaurant in Stresa

as we were staying in the hotel Milan Speranza, we , with friends had a drink before dinner every night at Paulon. Beers and coffees were were excellent as was the service from staff. The staff and owners were very friendly, even greeting you when walking by. The free snacks were also excellent despite requesting them to be vegetarian. The owner was really friendly, so would recommend and would love to go back there...

Entriamo e ci fanno accomodare in un micro tavolino da due persone, nonostante fossimo in tre (due adulti e un bambino sul seggiolone). Quando vedono che optiamo per il tagliere grande da 20 euro, ci fan spostare su un tavolino da quattro (ce lo siamo meritati???). Chiediamo un succo albicocca per il piccolo. Errore nostro che lo accettiamo senza mandarlo indietro, arriva un bicchiere contenente un succo sfuso probabilmente preso dai cartoncini che usano per fare i cocktail… normalmente si porta il bicchiere di vetro vuoto e il succo lo si porta nella bottiglietta di vetro CHIUSA. Tolto questo, ripeto errore nostro che non avremmo dovuto accettare, i due cocktail presi (due Bloody mary) molto annacquati e caldi, mentre gli stuzzichini molto banali e oliati. Il tagliere invece era composto da affettati di bassa qualità e due sottoaceti presi dai barattoli della metro. Ci aspettavamo un servizio migliore, dei cocktail migliori e del cibo migliore. Aperitivo caro (40 euro tre bevande e un tagliere) e mediocre, servizio scadente. Ultima nota: il bagno sporco, mi ha fatto ribrezzo entrarci. Mi dispiace ma non siamo stati per nulla...

Don't go here. Ordered a goatcheese sallad, got something like lumps of Philladelpia chees. Asked the waitress who confirmation with the kitchen they where out of goatchees so they put some other cheese on my plate. No deduction on the bill and nothing else offered, just sorry and a shrug on the shoulders. Worst...
