MOMENTO Ristorante — Restaurant in Syracuse

We went to visit Anfiteatro Romano and Teatro Greco, and didn’t want to get back by walk to eat at Isola di Ortigia so we ate at MOMENTO ristorante.

What an incredible experience: the service was perfect, warm and kind!!!

So we decided to follow the advices of the Maître d’hôtel and Chef, and what an amazing surprise full of tastes from Sicily.

We started with grilled octopus, followed by pasta with sword fish (Messina style cooking) with a red wine from ETNA Volcano and we finished with ‘cinnamon jelly’ and a glass of Passito de Pantellerira thanks to their advice and what an explosion of tastes!!!!

I warmly recommend the place to locals and foreigners: the place is great, in an historical location with a great team of professionals!!!

Definitely, I want to get back there!!!!

We had dinner here on a Friday night. We had made a reservation in advance, but the restaurant was only half full, so it might not be necessary. That evening, only the manager and one waiter were working, and there were a few large groups. Despite this, the manager did his best to take care of everyone—although it took a little while for them to get to us, he was very kind and attentive. I had lunch at Momento during my visit to the parco archeologico. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The service was very professional, good recommendations were provided, in a kind way. The food was also very good. I had a pasta with Nero di seppia which was off menu and a lemon granita. Both were very nice. The wine pairing, a local white which was light and mineral, was perfect. The view of the park is lovely, as well. The prices are very fair, quite reasonable, especially in relation to the high quality of the food.
