My daughter and I are visiting from Canada and staying in Tagliacozzo for a few days. We heard great reviews about Gianni's Angus beef on hot stone. It was fantastic! We also had the house antipasto and a Fettuccine pasta dish. Both were also tasty. Along with great food, the service from staff was excellent despite a language barrier. Gianni himself worked very hard to make sure we and all other diners were happy with their dining experience. It's not a fancy place, but they will make you feel welcome and special and serve you great food. I've heard the pizza is also excellent... Next time.

Had lunch here on a Thursday. We arrived a little late, so we were told there were no pizzas. Beware that it’s in Italian only and staff speak limited English, but after translating with our phones we found something we liked. The waitress was very kind, and the food was alright, but not something I would go out of my way for. However, it was also the cheapest lunch we’ve had on our 8 day holiday in Italy.

Questo locale è stata una piacevole scoperta. Ci siamo capitati per caso durante una gita fuori porta, non avevamo prenotato e non pensavamo di trovare posto domenica delle palme. Siamo stati accolti benissimo, il proprietario e il personale sono stati gentilissimi, ci hanno addirittura prestato un caricabatterie per farci ricaricare il cellulare. Ci hanno servito molto velocemente e si sono assicurati che tutto andasse bene. Abbiamo preso gli arrosticini, accompagnati da un ottimo pane bruschettato, poi abbiamo ordinato la tagliata. Ci è stata servita sulla pietra ollare, adagiata su un letto di patate e accompagnata da rucola, grana e crema di aceto balsamico. Col freddo che faceva oggi è stata una consolazione. Abbiamo apprezzato tanto perché la carne era di ottima qualità, cotta alla perfezione, si scioglieva in bocca, grazie alla pietra ha mantenuto il calore per tutto il tempo e l’abbiamo potuta gustare con calma. Abbiamo inserito questo locale nei preferiti e quando ricapiteremo in zona, faremo sicuramente tappa perché merita davvero.

Beware that it’s in Italian only and staff speak limited English, but after translating with our phones we found something we liked. The waitress was very kind, and the food was alright, but not something I would go out of my way for. However, it was also the cheapest lunch we’ve had on our 8 day holiday in Italy.

We love Gianni's! We consider ourselves to be foodies and can honestly say that the food has been delicious every time we've gone and it's consistent. My favorite is the steak and potato dish shown in the picture. Pizza, kebabs, veggies are wonderful also. Additionally, Gianni, Pamela and Nico are so very nice and patient as we butcher the Italian...
