Al Buon Gusto — Restaurant in Terrasini

We tried this place twice this year, after having dined here in the past and being very happy with the overall experience (except for the loud indoor amplified noise).

The first time, this year, we got oily dishes, as though they hadn't been steam-cleaned. We asked for clean plates and got the same plates, just wiped down.

We sat outside, which is a nice atmosphere.

The indoor spaces are very noisy. We had to leave the second time around because we couldn't hear our own thoughts, between people talking extremely loudly, children screaming, plates breaking, and the rooms amplifying it all. The indoor spaces are nicely air conditioned, however.

Service was quick, friendly, and polite. The waiteress, however, didn't advise us of the off menu daily specials, like "Tagliata di Tonno."

The food was a bit disappointing. We ordered the "Frittura Mista di Pesce," and you could see the oil hadn't been changed in a while, just by how dark the calamari looked, then the taste was unmistakably that of old, unchanged oil.

We might give this another try, but we would sit outside and be a bit more selective with our dish choices, including inquirying about any off menu specials and maybe trying the "Grigliata Mista di Pesce", rather than the...

One of the best pizzas and calzones I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled a lot through Italy. Vincenzo walked us through the menu and our indecision because everything looked so good. I told him it was our last meal in Sicily. Once I told him I had never tried a fried calzone he closed my menu and decided for me. The pizzas we ordered are his invention and he took care of us as if we were family. The ambiance is less touristy and more local, the waiters are extremely nice and it feels like a natural family environment. I cannot wait to come back to Terrasini just to eat this food again. 🇩🇪 Ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben eine so leckere Pizza gegessen! Der Service war einwandfrei, super und auch sehr schnell!

Man kann dort auf englisch bestellen (oder italienisch, wenn man es als Tourist sprechen kann 😄) und das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Die Preise in diesem Restaurant sind sehr angenehm und die Qualität der Speisen beziehungsweise der Zutaten sind wundervoll! Man kann alle Zutaten einzeln herausschmecken 🤌🏻🤌🏻

You can order there in English (or Italian if you can speak it as a tourist 😄) and the staff is very friendly.

The prices in this restaurant are very reasonable and the quality of the food and ingredients are wonderful! You can taste all the ingredients individually 🤌🏻🤌🏻
