Taverna Quintilia — Restaurant in Tivoli

This food was disgusting. I threw up as soon as I got home. Waste of money, and now I am sick.

We came here because of the good reviews. We were very hungry as we had hardly had time to eat all day, and the portions were extremely and disappointingly small. I got the ravioli, and it was only 3 pieces. The pasta was very hard and undercooked. We love al dente, but this was not al dente; the ravioli was just very undercooked. It tasted very fishy and had 3 or 4 skinny crab legs sticking out of it… The bread was stale and very crusty. And they brought and charged us for water when we said “no thank you” to water. We ate all our food because we were hungry, but I seriously regret it because now I cannot stop throwing up. We did not have any alcohol or wine, so I know it was from the food. :(

Save your money and your stomach and eat somewhere,...

The overall impression: DO NOT GO HERE! Save your money for one of the other truly amazing restaurants in Tivoli.

We ordered two glasses of house wine: one red one, white and even after correcting them when they repeated it incorrectly while taking the order, we ended up with 2 white.

We were told the Antipasti Smoked Salmon was marinated with red pepper and thyme but it was clearly taken DIRECTLY OUT OF THE PACKAGING and drizzled with some olive oil, zero seasoning.

Bread basket tasted stale.

The pasta was fine, nothing special.

Staff was trying to take our order and management came over, talked over us and then our order came out incorrectly.

The whole experience was not pleasant.

There was also a mysterious 4€ charge for “the table setting” , maybe it’s a thing, hadn’t experienced it over the previous 4...

2/3 dishes we ordered were very not good.

Overall, disappointed with our meal and it was on the pricier end.

Entrecôte and porcini - the dish was presented in a large puddle of oil. The porcini were so soaked in oil I could not be certain it was mushroom when eating. Steak itself was decent but was very greasy at it was sitting in this oil puddle.

Lamb chops - overdone to the point it bordered on jerky.

The third dish was a duo of fish that was on the dry side and quite a small portion but overall ok.

We got sides of potatoes that were pretty tasty.
