Da Andrea a Villa D’Este — Restaurant in Tivoli

Wow. Speak as you find & I found it excellent! I chose the pulled-pork salad. The pork is slow-cooked at low temp over 12 hours by the proprietor, who also bred his own beer (the red one is stronger:beware!) full-sized sun-dried tomatoes, red & green olives, artichoke hearts and red & yellow peppers added to the roll-call of deliciousness. What brought this ristorante to my attention was its blackboard sign with its Google 5 star rating and the words "non-turistico" written on it. I thought this was hilarious given its location in the most heavily touristed area of Tivoli, on the piazza right outside the entrance to the Villa d'Este. It was touristy in the sense that at least half the patrons were tourists and that the waitress spoke excellent English BUT the menu and the food were authentic and of excellent quality. Sono stata a pranzo in questa trattoria con il mio fidanzato. Ci hanno fatto accomodare dentro e la prima cosa che ho notato é stata la ciotola del cane nello stesso ambiente dove erano riposti i bicchieri e lo spillatoio, che per quanto io possa amare i cani non credo sia del tutto igienico. Abbiamo ordinato come antipasto un tagliere da 12€ con richiesta di focaccia vicino. il tagliere era discreto, visto e considerato che i salumi erano vecchi. la focaccia non ci è mai arrivata nonostante ci fosse stato detto “arriva subito” e abbiamo dovuto chiedere di non portarla più. arriviamo al resto…carbonara anch’essa discreta, ma la cosa problematica è stato il panino pulled pork. non si sa come e perché, ma il mio panino è arrivato da fuori portato da un ragazzo che era vestito in modo diverso dalle cameriere del locale. ad ogni modo, questo ragazzo l’ha portato in cucina per poi darlo alla cameriera e servirlo al mio tavolo. cosa che mi ha lasciato davvero con non poche perplessità. non capisco come possa essere possibile il fatto che arrivassero cose da mangiare dall’esterno, quando la cucina era all’interno. nel menu dove si spiegava cosa ci fosse all’interno del panino non era prevista la cipolla e nel mio panino c’era la cipolla. il prezzo esorbitante, in particolare modo per il servizio al tavolo che abbiam pagato 5€. dopo aver visto la nostra scocciatura, ci hanno fatto saltare la fila per pagare con 1,50€ di sconto e ringraziamo per questo. abbiamo constatato che con troppe persone, molto probabilmente, non sanno gestire tutte le...
