Faro Restaurant — Restaurant in Tortolì

By far the worst experience during our holidays. The light was way to bright and did not provide a nice atmosphere. As a starter we had the melon with prosciutto and the melon was poorly cut. We had to cut of half of the slice as it was way to hard to chew. One of us had the mixed grill plate as a main dish. The beef was still raw inside and cold. We notified the server and she took the peace of meet with her and provided the same piece back shortly after. They must have put it on the grill again because now it was burned on the outside and well done on the inside. Regardless to mention, that it was inedible now. The grilled vegetables were two round slices of egg plant, two slices of zucchini and two small slices of bell pepper. For 6€ this was a joke and it was also cold when it arrived.

I had noodles which were good. I got a cup of Parmesan with it. The cup was covered in butter on the outside. While I was still eating the noodles a server came and asked me something in Italian which I did not understood and he immediately took away the Parmesan cup and put it on another table with the same spoon in it that I touched. Despite still having a pandemic, I think this is more than gross.

The service was not friendly during the entire stay. I can not recommend...

We are repeat backsliders :). Since the location is nice, we wanted to give this restaurant a second chance. For the second, it was an unsactisfactory experience. Last Wednesday, my family and I arrived at 10 p.m. and the staff greeted us anouncing that everything was booked (though many tables were available) and underling that the kitchen closed at 10:30 p.m. (in August by the sea in Sardinia, it is something unusual). However, they did seat us. We immediately chose 3 pizzas. Unfortunately, they made a mistake by bringing me a pizza with salami instead of fish (I don't eat meat). When I ordered my pizza again they told me that the kind of fish I ordered was finished. So I asked for another pizza, but I was out of luck again. Ten minutes later, the waiter came back to tell me that they were out of ingredients for the dish I wanted. So my husband decided to share his pizza with me. The pizzas were half-cooked and scantely topped. Finaly, when it was time to ask for the check, they brought us the bill from other tables twice! Disappointing service and substandard food. The location, thou, is very pretty. Nonetheless, I am not sure if we will give it...

Terrible place. We were in 3 people. We asked at the bar for the menu and then we asked if we can take drinks „to go” but they don’t offer anything to drink for takeaway. Then we asked if we can stay inside (which was literally 95% empty!!!) because it was super windy outside. They told us no because with drinks only outside tables. So We took the table outside. We ordered one gelato (which was form of a shake to drink) and lemon beer. Our third friend asked for cocktails and the waitress wasn’t informed at all so she didn’t order any cocktail. We went to pay inside at the bar because no one was coming to our table. Inside it appeared we had to pay 9€ of coperto. We asked why?? And they said it is 3 euro per person, but 1. we literally served ourselves 2. Our friend didn’t order anything… ridiculous place. They said if she sat at the table she has to pay. What if someone came and didn’t like anything in the menu? Would they charge them for coperto for only seeing menu and sitting at the table? Terrible experience l, not...
