Chocolate Ferlito is a true gem nestled in the enchanting city of Trapani, offering a delightful escape into the world of artisanal Italian desserts. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked pastries and the sight of colorful displays showcasing an array of sweet treats. Among their standout offerings, the ice cream pistachio brioche and the cannolo siciliano are simply divine.
The ice cream pistachio brioche is a delightful marriage of creamy gelato nestled within a pillowy-soft brioche bun, creating a heavenly combination of textures and flavors. With each bite, you're transported to the sun-kissed shores of Sicily, where pistachios reign supreme and every moment is a celebration of life's simple pleasures.

Read moreWe ate a lunch here, not specifically chocolate. Was a random choice to go here. The food quality was good enough quality, but not superspecial.
Also the atmosphere among the guests and the place in its entirety was good. So far so good.
But then the friendliness of the employees working at the terrace. It still may be that both of them had a bad day or just heard they would be fired. It was all but a service with a smile. Although we really did our best to talk Italian to order stuff (because their english was quite poor, but also they did probably their best) 25% of the order was not as we tried to order it. Come on, you can do better.
All this still could be forgiven due to this apparent language barrier. But then the rest rooms (read: toilets). They were simply disgusting. Of course mainly caused by the guests themselves, but when you know it: deal with it multiple times a day in the right way and get this basic score improvement.
The reason this place still scores 3 stars on service is that one of the waiters (f) let an old lady walking by sit for a while on a seat to have a small break. This is a really nice gesture that I don’t want to let go unrewarded. Kudos for...

The staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming. They didn't greet me when I entered and they served me with listless contempt. They pushed me to order quickly, and they even pretended to misunderstand my order (which was very simple, Italian to Italian). They didn't even bother to provide me with napkins or say thank you.
I know some Italians can be direct, but these were just plain rude and don't deserve more customers. I would not recommend this shop to anyone; there are plenty of alternatives.
Context: It was afternoon, the shop was not busy, so there was no excuse for the staff's behaviour. Plenty of staff members were available, and there were no exceptional...
