Trattoria San Giacomo — Restaurant in Tremezzina

We reserved a table for 8pm. We had only arrived a few days ago so new to Como. Once my mum & sister arrived, Half of our party had a problem finding parking so we worriedly thought we had to leave to find somewhere else. After saying we needed to go, we all got parking & quickly turned around (no later than 8.15pm) and said “the problem is solved now! We can take our table” (literally within minutes) and the owner or server (not sure who he was) was horribly rude and literally waved us out, telling us just to go and get out. He said the table was not available. He literally pushed the 5 of us into the road outside, including my mother who has a bad leg. My mother was so embarrassed to be shouted at like that. I understand that it probably wasn’t super convenient but have some respect for people & some flexibility when they are travelling. Terrible service, get a grip. Awful. Will not recommend this to...

The best pasta we had our entire trip in Italy. The tagliatelle al peperoni was exceptional and so was the tagliatelle al ragu. Beautiful ambience, we came here two nights in a row cause it was so good! We watched the sunset over the lake both nights.The restaurant wasn’t very busy at all, so we had the whole place to ourselves both times. The strawberry tiramisu and gelato was good too! Stay away. The food was fine but the waiter was not friendly. In the end he asked is how we were paying. Thought we had enough cash but didn’t. He then refused to take our card, and I had to walk alongside the busy highway wi the no sidewalk to get cash. Turned out to be the absolute worst experience. No one has ever said that to us about paying in Italy. So, definitely would never go back and never return and never recommend...
