Massimiliano Cafe — Restaurant in Trieste

The experience at the café was disappointing. I ordered an Italian sandwich that came burnt on the outside and with very hard bread, making it difficult to eat, no flavor, the lettuce was dehidrataded. We visited the beautiful Miramare castle on a Saturday afternoon after spending half a day on the A4 in traffic jams. It was a great relief to have a rest in the shady park in a relaxing environment. We had 3 capuccinos and two large bowls of fine salad for 30 euros. I think it is acceptable. The terrace is cool, the toilet is free. Parking in Grignano is also free. We wanted to give it a chance despite the many bad ratings but when we tried to enter the Cafe we were rather rudely kicked out by the waiter. Even if almost full with a lot of new guests entering they spontaneously decided to close the cafe at 4:15om without any obvious reason. Rather hard to believe that at one of the most touristy places the only restaurant closes more than 2 hours before the park closes. Seems that they really have a motivation issue...
