Ristorante Pizzeria Manin — Restaurant in Udine

Imbarazzante e inaccettabile.

Ci sediamo alle 20.15 e abbiamo aspettato le 21.00 che qualcuno prendesse appena le ordinazioni per bere. Il menù non ce l'ha portato nessuno, abbiamo dovuto prenderlo noi autonomamente. In questi 45 minuti ho chiesto che mi venisse cambiato il bicchiere perché sporco tra ditate e cose incrostate di cui non ho voluto sapere di più. I bicchieri sporchi erano in tutta la tavolata (circa 15) quindi non solo il mio casualmente. Faccio notare ai camerieri (qualcuno svampito, qualcun altro sognatore) che nessuno di noi aveva un coltello. Si chiamava pizzeria da fuori; l'ipotesi altrimenti era che ce le portassero già tagliate (?). Ma torniamo al mio bicchiere. Dopo averne chiesto uno pulito mi viene consegnato questo che all'apparenza sembrava essere decisamente meglio lavato rispetto al primo, seppur con qualche ombra. Verso l'acqua e appoggio le labbra per bere. Sento col naso una puzza che non saprei descrivere, quasi di fogna però. Mi alzo e vado direttamente al banco da una ragazza e le faccio notare stizzito il problema. Le ho chiesto se lei al posto mio avrebbe bevuto e mi ha risposto di no con una faccia schifata, oltre che imbarazzata. Continuo a non poter bere mentre arrivano le prime pizze, tra cui anche la mia. Chiedo sia i coltelli che soprattutto il mio bicchiere. Quasi immediatamente vengono esaudite le mie richieste e finalmente inizio a mangiare. La qualità del cibo era anche discreta (non più di 6 o 7), ma non è finita qui. Passiamo ai dolci per cercare di chiudere una serata molto amara. Dolci che ci vengono detti a voce perché inesistenti sul menù. Preso l'ordine di 5 dolci totali (non con la comanda ma a memoria), torna una seconda volta la cameriera per chiederci cosa avessimo preso. Torna una terza volta per dirci che un dolce era finito. Torna una quarta volta per comunicarci la possibilità di portare lo stesso dolce per due persone ma non per tre. Alla quinta volta ci hanno portato i dolci (qualità non sufficiente per essere un'attività ristorativa). Vi risparmio il commento sui bagni. Lì veramente sembrava di essere entrati in una fogna. Ho pagato 15 euro per questa esperienza da brividi. Uscita dal ristorante ore 23:00 (dopo TRE ore...)

The waitress didn't speak English and didn't even try to understand. I ordered a pizza with mushrooms, but the mushrooms were only on one half of the pizza, only about 4-5 small pieces of mushrooms. The others waited for spaghetti for quite a long time. They brought one spaghetti and we waited in vain for two portions of spaghetti, the staff was not surprised that only the father and son and the mother and daughter still had nothing to eat. We had to call, then they quickly made us spaghetti and apologized. I would have expected that they wouldn't charge at least a couvert for this disgrace, but they charged us an additional 8 EUR, that seemed almost impudent to me, but we paid. The toilets are not in good condition. I cannot recommend...

🇮🇹 Scesi da una ventina di minuti dal treno stavamo cercando un posto dove pranzare prima di fare una visita veloce nei dintorni del Castello di Udine e abbiamo trovato questo ristorante quasi per caso. Premetto che vi ci siamo recati di Lunedì, quando probabilmente non hanno grande affluenza, ma chi ci ha accolto all'entrata ci ha subito trovato un tavolo per 6 all'interno anche senza aver prenotato precedentemente (non fatevi ingannare dall'ingresso, il ristorante all'interno è davvero molto grande). Il personale è stato veramente molto cordiale e per la bontà dei piatti ci ha anche servito in tempi relativamente veloci. In particolare fra i piatti ordinati c'è il piatto di Spaghetti alle Vongole in foto, che oltre ad essere delizioso di per sé, è stato un piacere gustare poiché ci è stato fornito anche un piatto per buttare le valve delle vongole insieme ad una salviettina per pulirci le mani una volta finito di gustare il piatto. Per il resto non abbiamo ordinato proprio le specialità per le quali, a giudicare dalle recensioni, è famoso il Ristorante Pizzeria Manin, ma era tutto quanto buonissimo. Complessivamente una bellissima esperienza, consigliatissimo.

🇬🇧 About twenty minutes off the train we were looking for a place to have lunch before making a quick visit around the Castle of Udine and we found this restaurant almost by chance. I state that we went there on a Monday, when they probably don't have a large turnout, but whoever welcomed us at the entrance immediately found us a table for 6 inside even without having previously booked (don't be fooled by the entrance, the restaurant inside is very big). The staff was friendly and served us relatively quickly due to the goodness of the dishes. In particular, among the dishes ordered there is the plate of "Spaghetti alle Vongole" in the photo, which in addition to being delicious in itself, was a pleasure to taste since we were also provided with a plate to throw the shells of the clams together with a towel to clean our hands once we have finished enjoying the dish. For the rest, we didn't quite order the specialties for which, judging by the reviews, the Ristorante Pizzeria Manin is famous, but everything was very good. Overall a wonderful experience, highly...
