A Puccia Salentina — Restaurant in Ugento

I ordered two takeaway pizzas an hour in advance. I arrived 10 minutes early, and although the staff saw me, I was ignored. I assumed the pizzas were being prepared. At the scheduled pickup time, I asked at the counter and was told they would check, but no one ever followed up. Staff walked around without giving me any information.

More than 10 minutes past the pickup time, I asked again. I was told the pizzas would be ready in 2 minutes, but they weren’t. In the end, I waited 20 minutes past the agreed time. When a waiter finally handed me the pizzas, another staff member came over just two minutes later (while I was still waiting at the ATM) and took them back, saying they were for someone else who had only just arrived.

Unacceptable service: disorganized, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. Easily the worst dining experience I’ve had in years. The only reason I waited so long was because I really wanted to try one of the pizzas, which, consistent with the rest of the experience, turned out to be...

Cibo buono, servizio disastroso! Siamo stati una sera, il posto è invitante, in bella posizione, il locale era pieno. Molto buona la puccia, buona anche la pizza ed i frittini vari. Anche il conto più che onesto. Il vero problema è il servizio, un disastro totale! Le portate arrivano prima delle posate e molto prima delle bevande (avevamo anche molta sete...), chiedere 4 volte una tovaglietta, si vedevano in continuo le cameriere che vagolavano sperdute per i tavoli senza fare niente oppure cariche di piatti che non sapevano a chi portare e dove... E che non mi si venga a dire che la "colpa" era il locale pieno di avventori!!! Lo devi sapere già, anzi, ringrazia di avere il pienone e di lavorare, quindi agisci di conseguenza! Un vero peccato! Basterebbe molto poco per fare un netto salto di qualità! Avrei dato anche 5 stelle, ma così 2 sono forse...
