Cucinapesci — Restaurant in Ugento

After a bumpy start, with a very slow waiter that was not coming by to pick up the order, we finally got it passed to the kitchen (30 minutes approx).

The bruschettone was lovely. But that's it. Both dishes of pasta (arrived within five minutes from each other) were excessively salty, the same for the grilled octopus, so this couldn't be a mistake. Also - shamefully - the latter cost 20 euro for just two tentacles.

Presentation wise, again the bruschettone made its superb entrance, the pasta and the octopus were both like the chef was saying "hey I'm tired and I want to go home".

Overall, the price was not proportioned to what we had. The service is not adequate ( either they were missing a person, or I don't know how others in the same week of mine have had a different experience). It's a pity because indeed the fish was fresh.

I appreciate that they tried to recover by offering a post dinner café and amaro, but the main experience advice is...

Ein sehr schönes Fischlokal in der Nähe vom Hafen mit einer schönen Sicht auf das Meer. Wir haben um 1830 Uhr vor Ort einen Tisch für 1900 Uhr reserviert. Pluspunkte: Der Tisch: Gute Sicht auf das Meer Die Weinempfehlung des Kellners das Essen war gut, aber nicht herausragend für diesen Preis

Minuspunkte: wie sonst üblich in den Restaurants, bekamen wir jedoch KEIN Brot an den Tisch. Zwei Tische neben uns, bekamen Brot Bei der Vorspeise wäre ein Glas Sekt dabei gewesen, jedoch bekamen wir keines das Servicepersonal war arrogant aber nicht unhöflich Kaum hatten wir den letzten Bissen unserer Hauptspeise heruntergeschluckt, wurde schon nachgefragt, ob wir noch etwas bestellen wollen, Kaffee oder etwas Süßes. Wir hatten keine Karte mehr, um überhaupt nachzusehen, was es noch gebe. Wir haben zu verstehen gegeben, dass wir, weil wir satt seien, noch etwas warten wollen. Zwei Minuten später kam der Kellner nochmals und drängte uns dazu, uns zu entscheiden. Wir baten um noch etwas Zeit, weil wir gerade den Wein genossen. Daraufhin kam wohl die Chefin zu uns an den Tisch und stellte uns vor die Wahl „zahlen oder bestellen“. Natürlich zahlt man dann und bestellt nichts mehr. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass wir nicht wirklich erwünscht waren.

Wir waren schon in anderen Lokalen und Restaurants in Torre San Giovanni, in Otranto, Gallipoli, Ostuni und an den Küsten, bei denen das Essen sehr gut bis ausgezeichnet war und das Servicepersonal immer äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend uns gegenüber gewesen ist. Posto carino e ben curato. Personale gentile e veloce. Servizio e vista bellissima. Fin qui tutto ok. Mangiare mediocre. Ma la frittura mista con gli anelli di totano surgelati con una pescheria di fronte (sempre di vostra proprietà??) non me lo aspettavo di certo.... Insapori e sembrava di avere gomma da masticare in bocca. PS. SCONTRINO FISCALE INESISTENTE. Stampano solo la comanda con gli importi. Ci vuole coraggio con persone le quali non siete a conoscenza di quale lavoro possano svolgere!

RISPOSTA AL VOSTRO COMMENTO: Lo scontrino fiscale non l avete stampato dopo aver pagato e non mi è stato consegnato. Il che è evasione fiscale. Premetto che dovete stamparlo voi in automatico e non deve essere richiesto. Per quanto riguarda l insoddisfazione della frittura non è mia abitudine fare lamentele ....magari in presenza di altri clienti.... Per rispetto reciproco..(soprattutto vostro e del personale di sala che mi sembravano ragazze giovani che invece che divertirsi la sera erano.li per lavorare..... Quando ho ordinato i prezzi li ho letti ed ero consapevole di ciò che ordinavo e di ciò che avrei pagato... IVA COMPRESA! Non sono persona che cerca sconti e meno ancora ve l.ho.chiesto come.avete insinuato e meno ancora ho specificato la mia qualifica. X voi sono.un cliente pagante... a cui non è stata emesso regolare scontrino fiscale. Detto ciò vi auguro un buon lavoro e una stagione redditizia esentasse...(FINCHÉ...
