We've never seen anything like this before.
I never write reviews like this, but we are still shocked and feel the need to warn other potential customers. I am writing such a long review also for the reason that the management knows how the whole situation arose (and maybe hopefully would have act differently). We visit Bar Fanatiko every time we are in Viareggio and we really liked this bar. This Easter we visited there too, together with my pregnant wife and her parents.
At the beginning everything was fine, we ordered the aperitivo and drinks first, and then we planned to order dinner, which we informed the manager about when we arrived and there was no problem. After finishing our drinks it took a very long time to get attention, but we respected that as well. After that, another waiter took charge of our table and made it a memorable experience.
Despite his arrogant manner, we asked him for our dinner order, whereupon the waiter responded with a sneer and the phrase "Ok, but there's hardly any of that, so what would you like?" My wife began to dictate to the waiter the dishes we had chosen, and at the second dish the waiter interrupted her and told us that he had to order the table next door, which had just arrived - we were also very surprised by this, but responded in agreement. He then ordered three more tables around us (drinks and food), apparently deliberately ignoring us. After he had passed our table at least three times without noticing, we politely asked for his attention by saying "excuse me", at which point he started shouting at me in an absolutely incomprehensible manner about what I was daring to shout at him and that it was the last time I would shout at him. The whole family was in complete shock, however, I still politely responded that he seemed to have forgotten about us, he kept yelling at me, and then walked away.
We watched in disbelief as he bad-mouthed us to all the staff and gesticulated aggressively towards us. At that point we tried to describe the whole situation to the manager, who excused the waiter by saying they had a long day and asked us if we want to continue ordering food. Since the waiter was unable to even apologize for his behavior and instead continued his arrogance towards us, we decided to pay and leave. The manager responded to this decision and to the mention that we would never come back after this experience by saying "perfetto", brought us the bill and we went to the cashier to pay. We left very upset and shocked that we were met with such misunderstanding and injustice.
As my wife walked past this waiter who was triumphantly continuing his work, she allowed herself to clap this waiter, and then we began to walk out. This clapping caused an immediate reaction from the entire management who, by saying that we were treating them with no respect, turned the whole situation against us. That's us, who were treated with absolutely no respect. We still can't get over the whole thing and because of that I think that clapping was the most subtle way to show our disapproval of this situation.
Such a shame on you to treat decent people like this, actually your loyal customers. Not to mention yelling at a pregnant woman. We wish no one else had to experience...

From the moment we arrived, the service was rude and unfriendly, with staff showing no effort to make guests feel welcome. The atmosphere felt cold and inattentive, and sadly, the food only made things worse.
The Vegan lasagna we were served looked like it was cut from the burnt edge of the pan, sloppily placed in the middle of the plate with no care or presentation whatsoever. As for the seafood pasta, more than half of the mussels were completely empty shells – which is simply unacceptable, especially at this price point.
To make matters worse, the meal was shockingly overpriced considering the poor quality of both the dishes and the service. We left feeling frustrated and completely let down.
Fanatiko was truly a bad choice, and we would not recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant or honest dining experience...
