Pesce Baracca — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

This place is simply wonderful. The food is served quickly and is delicious. We have tried the pasta (seafood pasta and zucchini pasta) which we have found to be tasty and very well executed.

We were especially surprised by the octopus on a bed of potato creme - this dish may be qualified as gastronomic. The flavors were exquisite, the octopus perfectly cooked and the vegetables (tomatoes, green beans and pickled cauliflower) added a welcome crunchy touch.

The value for money is also great - we paid 85€ for two drinks, water, two primi piati, two secondi piati and coffees.

It is the perfect place for a nice lunch, and we will make sure to come back.

We do however recommend getting there pretty early as it can get busy. It is however worth waiting 15 or 30 mins to get a table, as the food is...

Very good and fresh seafood! Big selection of wines and a daily changing menu for seafood.

The restaurant is split in two parts, a "street food" part in the right with its very own concept and a regular restaurant on the left of the building. When you enter you see a big bar with fresh seafood which you can chose from and also dishes you can chose on the street food part.

We ate at the restaurant and prices were as expected. We paid 135 € for a salmon salad, a tuna tartar (GREAT!!!), one frito misto and a mixed seafood grill platter for two and a bottle of wine and water topped off with two Sambuci and two coffees. It was all very delicious and sufficient! For seafood lovers I can definitely recommend dining here.

We arrived on a quiet Friday afternoon in late March and were drawn to this place at the promenade. A small queue was lining to for the take away/bistro part of the restaurant, which also sports a proper eatery and fresh seafood bar. I can only comment on the bistro, but can imagine that the restaurant is good value, too! We had a meat burger, a fish burger, fries and a focaccio with ham. You fill in your order on an order sheet, with your table no, then hand it in at the cashier and pay. So you can leave the table as soon as you finished your meal. We only waited 20 minutes and burgers, fries and focaccio have been very tasty. I can recommend the place for quick lunch before you explore Forte...
