This was by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in Italy. The fact that this restaurant was full of Italian locals is astonishing to me. The service was very disappointing, plates were basically thrown on the table without any explanation of the dishes. Same goes for the wine, no tasting, no pouring, just chucked on the table and the waiter was gone again. Overall, the attitude of this waiter was very inhospitable and we felt very unwelcome in this restaurant.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't much better either. For one dish the pasta was undercooked (no, not al dente) and for another dish the pasta was severely overcooked. The vongole were full of sand and it just wasn't up to Italian standards. Would definitely not recommend going here, as there are many restaurants in Viareggio that will leave you with a much better experience...

Che dire…ho appena trascorso una serata che vorrei dimenticare il prima possibile. Ci siamo seduti alle 21:40 e ci hanno fatto attendere per circa 20/30 min solo per apparecchiare e portare il menù…e già qui dovevamo capire che la serata non sarebbe andata per il meglio. Dopo aver ordinato una degustazione di antipasti, due primi ed il fritto la situazione è degenerata …L’antipasto è arrivato abbastanza velocemente, i primi alle 23:30 dopo circa 1 ora di interminabile attesa al freddo e al vento di questa serata di fine estate. Ovviamente, esasperati dalla lentezza e la poca attenzione del servizio, abbiamo annullato l’ordine del fritto. Strano…perché al tavolo vicino al nostro, al quale sedeva probabilmente un vecchio cliente e/o amico, i pianti continuavano ad arrivare alla velocità della luce, uno dietro l’altro e con una particolare attenzione………. DOPO aver pagato il conto ho fatto presente al cameriere la mia delusione verso il servizio ed il ristorante, lui ha saputo solo rispondermi “dubito vi siate seduti alle 21:40” (spoiler: mi aveva accolta lui alle 21:20). Quando stavamo per uscire è stato anche così furbo da farsi sentire mentre si lamentava di noi, dicendo che avevamo furia…che coraggio. Beh, noi non avevamo alcuna furia, ma attendere 2 ore per mangiare un antipasto crudo e farci cuocere un piatto di pasta mi sembra un po’ troppo. Per non parlare del fatto che quel poveraccio del cameriere doveva occuparsi da solo di tutto l’esterno, non c’è stato mai uno scambio di parole, un consiglio sul menù, nulla…tutto fatto frettolosamente e con poca attenzione. Nel 2025 non è possibile avere un servizio del genere: si deve creare feeling con i clienti, instaurare rapporti, scambiarci due chiacchiere, non si può puntare solo a fare numeri, non siete un fast food.

Dined here last night ( Tuesday June 7th 19:30 reservation). Food was fresh and good. Service , though , was appalling , specifically from one waiter, a slightly older man. He lacked in all areas of hospitality. No welcome, no explanation of the menu or no mentions of specials, no wine menu. Once we ordered our wine he did not pour for a taste , nor did he open it. The main courses were literally thrown on the table. Sadly , It is because of this waiter, I must give this restaurant a single star.
