Hotel Liberty — Hotel in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

We stayed here as a family of 4 for one night. We were stopping over to take the ferry trip up the Cinque Terre the next day. |The hotel is dated (my husband said he felt like he had stepped back in time) I quite liked it. The family room was big and the beds were comfortable. The room had reasonably good air con so it was a comfortable nights sleep for all. The hotel is on a main road and we had a room looking out over the beach so some may find this noisy at night (we didn’t we were all exhausted from travelling in the day so it was not a prob). |The breakfast was really good, good selection and tasty coffee. |Staff were really friendly here. |Generally the hotel was a little tired and some places could have done with a dust but for beds, bathrooms and food it was all clean (key areas for me). |The price of the hotel is high. We paid €200 for a family of 4 for one night but it was in August and 97% of hotels were booked up so I guess it is what it is. For us it served the purpose of a good nights sleep, easy access to the boat and dinner in the night. |Not sure all the bad reviews are totally justified. If I had paid €50 less i would have given...

Positives: Staff, quiet air conditioner, location. Apart from very noisy street til 1am 2am in morning.||Negatives: No hook for shower hose or screen flooding bathroom every time someone showered. Spa bath when turned on pumped all water out of air vent button all over floor. Had to get mop and bucket and mop it up ourselves. ||No tea or coffee making facilities in room or anywhere except breakfast.||No air conditioning in any part of hotel except rooms. Breakfast room hot and steamy with meats, yogurts, cheeses, milk all left out for 2 hours in heat. Very average breakfast, everything warm and sugary apart from fruit bowl. ||Bed like a rock, pillows hart, no blankets just cotton bedspreads. Fridge dirty, old and not cold with no freezer. No bench in the bathroom to put anything on. The bathroom facilities felt like camping having to kneel in bath to hold hose and wash without spraying the whole bathroom. No one bothered to offer to fix the bath or seemed to care that it had flooded the bathroom. Door rot indicated it had been like this for a long time. Not good enough for the money.||For 185 Euro a night for 4 people it...

The Hotel standard is👎👎👎|Everything is used. We Got room 206. ( the biggest room the hotel has, according to the reception) only Great thing is aircondition and Cleaning. We Are here right now(7/8.2018) while writing this review.|We had to ask for another room as this (206) was so bad. We where offered another room (304) with sea ​​view and bunk beds for an ekstra cost of 20euro Per Night. This room was in the same bad standard |The Cleaning is ok.
