We did not have a reservation so we would recommend booking in advance, however when we arrived at 19:15 they were more than welcoming, finding us a space in the terrace. (If you book, you’re more likely to get a seat under the Oliver trees, where it is very picturesque).
When we were seated they asked if there were any allergies or intolerances (the first place to ask in Italy since we arrived) and I let them know, none however I was a vegetarian. They said that was all good and they cater to that.
We ordered two starters to share: the mixed bruschetta (1x chicken pate, 1x green sauce, 1x Mariana sauce, 1x veggie friendly cheese and 2x standard tomato- all were delicious). We also ordered the vegetable cheese pie/soufle thing which was rich and beyond tasty!
The staff were very accommodating and answered any questions I had, showing me which bruschettas were veggie friendly!
For my main I had the picci aglionie (rich tomato pasta- which again was incredibly tasty). My partner had the sausage tagliatelle which he said was very rich and creamy but once again delicious.
We could not fit desert in though they all sounded belissimo.
Honestly such a beautiful picturesque place to dine, with amazing staff, and great Italian food....
Read moreWe stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful Agriturismo. Everything is what you can expect from a typical Agriturismo holidays in Tuscany.
Outstanding are: the friendliness of the staff. the free shuttle service to Montipulciano on request, the swimming pool and sun garden with views on the town high above the rock, the airco-ed room was decorated with sense of detail and local style. We were lucky to have a room with brand new renovated bathroom.
The restaurant l’Oliveto has its own chef, delicious (local cucina) food in great ambiance. We had a table under the olive trees.
Excellent Agriturismo is you’d like to explore this part of Tuscany, with unique Val d’Orcia in close vicinity (see photos)

Read moreMy wife and I dined at this romantic and beautiful restaurant just outside of Montepulciano for our anniversary. I had made reservations long ago yet the proprietor, Andrea, remembered the occasion and had our table reserved and prepared for our special evening upon arrival. Dining amid olive trees, the ambience is magnificent. The hand-rolled gnocchi melted in your mouth and all the dishes exceeded expectations. Even the “small cheese selection” was a culinary work of art (pictured). The wait staff was so nice and helpful. This was an incredible dining experience we will not soon forget. Our sincere thanks to Andrea and his...
