Pizzeria Ristorante La Rocca — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni Valle del Savio

Having never been to La Rocca before, this was a pleasant experience. With the sheer amount of pizzerias available in Italian cities, most of them admittedly good to very good (compared to the average pizzeria you find in cities around Europe), you have some kind of middle-of-the-road expectation that is mostly confirmed, not seldom exceeded, and sometimes disappointed. In La Rocca's case, I have overall positive feedback. The restaurant is not too large and not too small, with suitably spaced tables. The pizza menu is perhaps a bit too vast for my taste, as that only contributes to dispersing my attention, with the only result that I then fall back on a type of pizza that I have tried again and again. The staff is helpful and service was very quick. I enjoyed the texture of the pizza dough in particular, as that is nowadays one of the few criteria left to judge the quality of...

I had dinner on the 25th of June 2020, ordered a bufala pizza and that's what I got! I gently claimed to a very nice waitress that the pizza was practically empty and I would have loved it if they added a bit more of mozzarella di bufala. Another waitress came back to me with the pizza (untouched) and told me, in a very unpolite and rude way "that's how we do it here" I didn't want to make a scene so I took it and ignored it. Later that night , my friend ordered a coffee and asked for an ashtray, the same waitress who was rude to me forgot the ashtray at first and then when she brought it, she threw it on the table while passing by it.

Sono andato in questo ristorante con un gruppo di amici e abbiamo scelto un tavolo all'esterno. Peccato che la mia sedia fosse piazzata su un marciapiede rialzato e inclinato, con il costante rischio di cadere all'indietro giù dal muretto alto mezzo metro. Un dettaglio poco rassicurante, ma purtroppo non il peggiore della serata.

Dopo aver ordinato, abbiamo aspettato un'ora per ricevere il cibo. Un'ora. Nonostante il locale non fosse affollato al punto da giustificare simili tempi biblici.

Avevo ordinato un calzone specifico. Dopo l’attesa, mi viene servito un calzone diverso, ma annunciato dal cameriere con il nome di quello che avevo scelto. Confuso dallo strano ripieno ma affamato, l'ho mangiato comunque, pensando di aver sbagliato a scegliere dal menù.

Al momento di pagare, controllo il menù e scopro che mi è stato portato un calzone diverso e meno costoso rispetto a quello ordinato. Informo la cameriera e le dico che intendo pagare per ciò che ho effettivamente ricevuto. Mi conferma il pagamento del secondo calzone (quello portato). Peccato che lo scontrino racconti un’altra storia: mi è stato addebitato il prezzo pieno del calzone più caro, che non ho mai visto, né tanto meno assaggiato.
