Awful place with questionable favourable reviews given our experience. The rib of beef was an extremely poor cut, full of fat, cooked poorly and tasteless. It was so poor that the restaurant agreed not to charge us the full amount. The place is very basic as are their culinary standards and does not match the quality of food served in other places. We only ate half of what was served (and that's because we needed to eat something). There were dogs constantly barking outside the restaurant, killing any ambience, and the only consolation was them halving the bill after we complained. Definitely don't recommend this restaurant and even the town itself. A real disappointment having visited Florence and Sienna and eaten some very good meals, and I would say that the restaurant and the town need to up their game if they want to match what's on offer in other...

Outstanding food and service at La Imperiale. Everything we ate was Fantastico~ compliments to the chef. Very family friendly place AND family run. Locals hangout for sure, as it was a full house for dinner. Steak was tender and juicy, cooked perfectly!I even had a menudo style dish that was better than any I ever had in any of our Mexican restaurants in San Diego CA! My 13 year old was happy with finding a kid friendly menu with fried chicken and fries available. They even have a kids menu specifically with hamburger or hotdog. Popped in for lunch and had a great experience. One for meat lovers, the quality is outstanding for the price (as you might expect as the place is also a butcher). The waitress overheard I was keen on fennel salami and gave me one for the road on the way out. This was a nice touch and demonstrated the confidence (rightly) the owners have in the place.
