The chef, formerly at the helm of a very popular Michelin-rated restaurant in Tuscany, decided to follow his own path — and what a gift that is for the rest of us. His talent is undeniable, and his wife’s warmth and hospitality make the entire experience feel personal and welcoming.

The food was so good on our first visit that we came back the very next day just to try more.

On our first night, we had the tortellini tasting plates, the truffle pasta, and the prima sale — all outstanding. Each dish was beautifully balanced and full of flavor. We started with a refreshing Hugo spritz and paired our meal with a lovely Valpolicella Riserva that perfectly complemented the richness of the pasta. We were hooked.

We returned the next day and were blown away yet again. The vegetable soufflé in a cheese fondue was absolutely unexpected — delicate, flavorful, and indulgent all at once. The octopus was not only delicious but also plated like a piece of modern art. And of course, we couldn’t resist ordering the tortellini nodo d’amore again — it was just that good.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience here! The antipasto with truffle was incredibly flavorful and perfectly prepared. Our main course, also made with truffle, was equally delicious — rich, aromatic, and beautifully balanced.

The drinks complemented the food perfectly, and the service was outstanding: extremely kind, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. The ambiance was another highlight — the restaurant is located on a quiet and charming street, making it a lovely spot to enjoy a relaxed meal.

Although we were too full for dessert, our waiter kindly brought us a small taste of their apple cake, and it was absolutely delicious. Such a thoughtful gesture that truly made our evening special.

Purtroppo ogni qualvolta avrò pensiero a Valeggio sul Mincio, non sarà più di un paese magico, caratteristico, leggiadro e paradisiaco di come l’ho sempre considerato fino ad oggi, perché il posto dove abbiamo pranzato oggi, mi ha letteralmente INFANGATO E CANCELLATO tutto questo. Hostaria Marsala e tutto il suo personale, dovrebbe essere trattata come a sua volta ha trattato noi oggi. Usciti dal locale abbiamo controllato la ricevuta, perché il conto ci era parso particolarmente salato e si sono inventati € 20.00 in più. Rientrati non si sono neppure scusati e sono stati infastiditi perché avevamo pagato con la carta e sono stati costretti ad utilizzare il contante della casetta personale del locale. Senza parlare di tutto ciò che abbiamo osservato nell’ oretta e mezza che abbiamo pranzato. La gente entrava ed usciva perché non gli veniva data risposta al buongiorno e tanto meno una nota di accoglienza e gentilezza, anche nel dire che forse non c’era posto. Ma io mi chiedo: “ TU gestore di un ristorante, TU collaboratore di un ristorante... ma ?... TU!!!! ...??? Andrai a tua volta a pranzo / cena fuori??? ... E?... Ma?... Se IO...? ... Se IO ti tratto senza degnarti di uno sguardo, buongiorno, buonasera, accenno di testa o di occhio che ti ho visto, di risponderti affermativamente o al contrario negativamente se non c’è posto?... Se TU!?... TU, Che nel mentre mangi hai finito il pane, o l’acqua o il vino o vuoi qualcos’altro... e vedi che ti hanno visto e che arranchi per delle mezzore e cercare attenzione...

Ma TU?... TU! Proprio TU cgevcavolo come ci rimarresti? E se cercano di RUBARTI da un conto già salato ulteriori € 20.00 e non ti chiedono neppure scusa? Ma TU! Proprio TU! Dimmi cosa faresti? Ora sono curiosa! Molto curiosa! Perché per colpa tua, Valeggio sarà per me e sempre solo un ricordo non più bello ed un paese che non ne avrò più da portare gente! Peccato che faccio anche...
