Casa Montana — Restaurant in Valtournenche

Deceived by the name (Casa Montana Bar Ristorante Longue) and a nice looking interior we came here for dinner, especially that it was hard to find an open restaurant in Breuil-Cervinia on a Sunday evening in September and this one was the busiest of the three opened places we've spotted around.

It turns out that this place is not really a "ristorante", but there are several types of pizza, sandwiches and salads on the menu. The pizzas were hot and delicious, highly recommended. Prepared very fast. Staff was really nice.

Needed to get out of the heat in Torino for the day while on vacation from the U.S. in June 2022 and decided to drive up to see the Matterhorn. We stumbled upon Casa Montana as it seemed to be the only place open with most every table outside occupied. We had a lovely lunch - great pizza, a tuna club sandwich and beers. The wait staff were very friendly and we're grateful they knew enough English to understand what we were ordering and answer any questions we had. I’m currently sitting in THE most stunning bar in Cervinia……. With THE most arrogant bone idle and useless staff I’ve ever had the displeasure to (not) be served by. Three bar staff doing absolutely nothing whatsoever apart from chatting nonsense to each other with arms folded and chests pumped out repelling any friendly advance from the 4 customers in here. But they are so ‘busy’ they can’t do table service! Utterly pathetic. Quite honestly THE most disappointing experience I’ve had in Cervinia for 25 years.
