Ratatouille — Restaurant in Valtournenche

After trying all other vegetarian-friendly restaurants on the main street of Cervinia, we decided to try walking further to this restaurant on a whim. It was the best pesto of my life. My husband absolutely loved the meatball special and gnocchi bolognese. Incredible food and service. One of our very best and favorite meals in Cervinia!! Highly, highly recommend. Maybe make a reservation first- the restaurant is small...

"I maghi della raclette”

Locale carino e piatti buoni, nulla da dire sulla cucina: ingredienti genuini e sapori curati. Peccato che la vera magia della serata non sia avvenuta in cucina, ma al momento del conto.

Ero con la mia compagna: lei ordina un piatto dal menù, io scelgo una raclette tra i fuori menù. Dico chiaramente alla cameriera che non so di cosa si tratti e lei mi rassicura: “Tranquillo, te lo spiego io quando arriva il piatto.” Tutto bene, fino al momento del conto, quando scopriamo che la raclette era per due persone — peccato che nessuno ce lo avesse detto!

In più, abbiamo ordinato una ratatouille di verdure, incuriositi anche dal nome del locale (“Ratatouille”), ma solo dopo abbiamo scoperto che era già inclusa nella raclette. Naturalmente nessuno ci ha avvisato.

Per chiudere in bellezza, l’amaro: a noi è stato messo in conto (14,50 €), mentre agli altri tavoli è stato offerto dalla casa.

Risultato finale: un conto che da circa 50€ in due si è trasformato in 90€ in due, grazie a qualche tocco di “magia” e zero trasparenza.

Cucinano bene, niente da dire, ma un po’ di onestà e rispetto per il cliente non guasterebbero. Complimenti ai “maghi della raclette”: in un colpo solo sono riusciti a trasformare una bella cena in una fregatura...

Thanks to the whole Ratatouille team for making our holiday week better than our two previous trips in Cervinia. Burgers, pastas, tiramisu and chocholate cake were all great and the atmosphere heartfelt. Special thanks to the boxer Obi!
