If there is one place you need to pick for best seafood, best wine, best service in Venice, this is the place. Bookmark it because you won’t be sorry. The place is fancy looking, but the price is relatively fair and cheap. Seafood is fresh, pasta made fresh and cooked al dente. Service is top! Friendly and attentive from the woman manager/owner who remembers my name to the waitstaff that catered to my every whim. I was there alone and he managed to have the kitchen prepare dishes that were meant for 2 for 1. The sommelier gave a very good wine recommendation to pair with the food. Just wow! And if weather is good, there is even a courtyard behind. I know this is the place I would go again to spoil myself when I am back.

Absolutely incredible dinner at Corte Sconta! The steamed clams to start were delicate and full of flavor, followed by a stunning squid ink pasta that was rich and perfectly balanced. The mixed fried seafood was crispy, fresh, and not greasy at all – truly unforgettable. What made the evening even more special was the chef’s recommendation of a rare orange wine from Perugia – an unexpected but brilliant pairing that brought out the best in every dish. Hidden away from the tourist crowds, this place is a real gem. Intimate, authentic, and clearly led by people who love what they do. I’d go back in a heartbeat.🦭

No fuss, no muss, classic, simple dishes made with premium ingredients. The feel is more upscale bistro with a lovely interior garden. Reservations can be had for lunch and dinner, but not for the garden. The artichoke side dish is ample for two people. The amuse bouche, the day we went, was a beautiful puff pastry with a light crab mousse filling. Delightful! The beetroot pasta with asparagus and scallops was lovely. The small scallops had tons of flavor and the asparagus was served two ways, long raw strips and cooked.

I was referred to this restaurant by a friend who had previously visited Venice. I will say that making a reservation (day of) was very easy to do online and the service was top notch. They were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions (gluten free and dairy free) and offered replacements for anything that I could not eat on the traditional menu. The back patio was very quiet and had a great ambiance. The only issue was that as soon as the sun went down, the mosquitoes came out in full force. I realize this is not their fault and they were very good about providing big spray to our table, but the mosquitoes were actually an extreme deterrent. We almost asked to move inside.

The biggest reason for the 3-star rating is that he food was surprisingly bland. We ordered two appetizers, the tuna and the spider crab. The crab was tasty, but the tuna lacked flavor. For our first course, I ordered the pasta with scallops and mushrooms (very good!) and my friend ordered the zucchini flower pasta with prawns (extremely bland except for the prawns). For our second course, we ordered the fish of the day (sea bream). It was a well-cooked fish, but there was very little flavor or seasoning on it and the root vegetables were under-seasoned as well.

For a Michelin Star rated restaurant, and one with a hefty bill at the end of the night, it was not worth it in my opinion. There are far more places in Venice with $15 pasta dishes that were larger, more filling, and much better.

Sadly to say, I would pass on going back to this restaurant, even though the vibes and...

Corte Sconta in Castello, Venezia, is a brilliant restaurant that promises a really exquisite Venetian dining experience. From the moment you step in, the restaurant captivates with its warm ambiance and attentive service. The staff's expertise in guiding guests through the extensive wine selection enhances the overall dining experience, ensuring a perfect pairing with the delectable dishes.

Speaking of the food, Corte Sconta presents a delightful array of authentic Venetian delicacies, each dish thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavors that celebrate the region's culinary heritage. While the prices may lean towards the higher end, the exceptional quality of both the food and service justifies the cost, making it a worthwhile choice for a special night out or a celebratory occasion.

During the summer, the restaurant's outdoor garden area offers an enchanting setting to enjoy the delightful cuisine amidst a serene ambiance. The combination of delectable food, impeccable service, and a charming garden creates an unforgettable dining experience.

Given its popularity and limited seating, booking in advance is highly recommended to secure a table at this culinary gem in Venice. We were excited to try this out after reading the reviews on the Michelin guide. We left a bit disappointed. While the service was incredible, the food left room to be desired, and the outdoor patio was somewhat uncomfortable.

We ordered the tuna appetizer. As mentioned in a few other reviews, it was completely tasteless. We were expecting more of the gooseberry or fish to come through, but it felt like we weren’t really eating anything. Our main pasta dishes were nice, but we had similar experiences at other restaurants, so nothing to be super excited about.

The biggest issue was the patio. I know it’s something they can’t very well control, but we were eaten alive by mosquitoes. They offered our table and a few others bug spray. It worked a bit, but we left super itchy and had bites several days later. It ruined the entire ambiance of the dinner because we were slapping bugs the entire time.

If you decide to visit, I’d ask to sit inside and maybe try out other dishes.

The service was...
