Italian cuisine with a modern twist.

My parents and I went for lunch and had a lovely lunch. We found ourselves with a very tasty dry Pinot Grigio (regret not asking to see the label, woulda loved to have ordered some for home in Muc) and a local season IPA right after we sat down.

Given that it was lunch time, we went for one dish each - mixed raw seafood, fish of the day (yellow tail) and iberico tenderloin. The dishes were very well cooked, with balanced and refined flavors all around. The tenderloin was juicy and the homemade bbq sauce was excellent. The yellow tail was firm and flavorful while the raw seafood simply sweet

A truly fantastic meal with some wonderful service - highly recommended!

Me and my partner were staying at a nearby hotel, and saw some of the other reviews so thought we'd pop over. We were lucky enough to get the one table remaining, and had a fantastic meal!

We ordered the fish of the day, and the spaghetti gentile with cuttlefish. Both were fantastic - the fish and cuttlefish cooked to perfection, the pasta just the right kind of al dente. We then finished off with desserts - a tiramisu and a bitter mandarin sorbet, and an espresso each.

To accompany the meal, we had a bottle of unfiltered wine, an orange wine (which the waiter did make sure to let us know it was an orange wine, which was fine - we really like them!). Again, it was very nice, and reasonably priced too.

On the prices, for the two mains, the wine, desserts, coffees and cover, it came to €109, which we felt was very reasonable. We were also given a small cauliflower starter before the meal, and a liqueur after, at no extra cost!

Which brings me onto the service and the staff. Honestly, brilliant. They were very accommodating, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was chilled out and great. It really was a fantastic meal.

If you're in Venice,...

I have tried to book this restaurant last time I was in Venice when it was fully booked so this time we planned ahead and got a table. Really wanted to love this place - nice interior, short menu that promised something authentic….it was a bit different than what I expected. The starters including the primo piatti were really good. I wish that I had ordered more of the starter menu because the main dishes fell short of achieving the same level of taste and execution. We loved the eel sandwich, liked the scallops and the gnochetti was good except maybe cooked too soft and lacked character. The mains, the fish of the day and beef diaphragm were disappointing. The fish fillet with skin should’ve been crispier on the skin and it was quite bland. The long beans had the pointed ends on them and we’re not too raw for our taste. The beef diaphragm had some tough pieces that were too hard to chew. The wine list is pretty comprehensive and the natural wine we took was good. In the end I’m glad we tried the place but not sure it lives up to the...

My parents thought the pasta a bit chewy initially but I found them mopping up the sauces in the plate after they finished the noodle ;p The staff was very friendly, hospitable and most of all, interactive, with all the guests, which adds to the overall experience. High recommend the place to those with a refined palate who enjoy intricate flavors in moderate portions.

It is hard to find an actually good restaurant in Venice nowadays with all the tourist traps. Well search no further, cause this is it! The place is very small with only around 7 tables and it only stays open for 2-3 hours a day, so make sure you book at least a week in advance, or you're not getting in. This however creates a great atmosphere and a very manageable amount of guest and guarantees great service. The staff is very friendly, professional and multilingual. And the inside is cute and well taken care of. Despite all this, the food manages to be the absolute highlight, with great starters, main dishes and desserts. I personally had one of the best fish dishes of my life and then one of the best sorbet ice creams as well. The huge selection of wine keeps that aspect covered too. All in all a great experience, which despite the cost, is worth every penny.

Went there with my family. Made a reservation due to the online reviews we saw saying it was a ‘must have’ but i think the reviews made my expectations way too high. The menu has very few options (which i don’t consider a bad thing) but from the different combinations of flavors described on the menu I was expecting more of an explosion of flavors, and at least the entree and my main dish were quite bland. My family had the same impression as me from their dishes. The tiramisu we had for dessert was good (texture wise) but a little too strong (or too much) coffee. The final drink (digestive liquor, on the house) was the highlight , instead of the common limoncello they offered us a liquor made by their own production and made of artichokes, which impressively was quite tasty!
