Pasticceria Toletta — Restaurant in Venice

If you want to experience the Italian breakfast culture, look no further! The Pasticceria is popular with locals who pop in for a coffee and a sweet treat, which there are plenty of here. You can enjoy these stood up alongside the counter with the locals or at outside standing tables (or, or course, taking it away). Please note that there is no option to sit down here.

It is very fairly priced, good for cheap eats.

The pastries were heavenly, we had a pistachio croissant (which was properly filed, compared to some other places that just put a bit of filling in the top), and a Neopolitan half-croissant looking pastry filled with custard, accompanied by cappuccino. It was the perfect start for the day, the only challenge being how to choose from the wide range of pastries.

The staff were really friendly, helpful and accommodated us trying to order in Italian :)

Would massively recommend and if we're ever back in Venice we will visit again - and...

High-quality delicious pastries at a correct price with welcoming service.

An almond tart in the window was tempting me. One of the few bakeries that hadn't stacked their window with pre-made, overpriced Sicilian cannoli for tourists (that have nothing to do with Venetian culture). I stepped in to order and a tall blonde woman greeted me with a genuine smile. I had found my favourite bar.

I was in Venice for a month and I came back here most days I was in the center. The prices were excellent, not the usual overpriced nonsense you find in Venice. Likewise, the service was great (rather than the usual service that takes your money and shoves you out the door). You also find real traditional Venetian pastries in the right periods too, like frìtole Veneziana.
