From the outside, this pasticceria in Burano looks like a true gem. The charming exterior and delightful decor draw you in, and the beautifully presented array of italian edible products are enough to make any sweet tooth excited. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the visual appeal.
I tried the cannoli, which turned out to be a disappointment. The cream filling was unexpectedly hard and lacked the fresh, creamy texture that makes a good cannoli shine. Additionally, the shell, instead of being crisp and light, was hard and lacked that satisfying crunch. It was clear that the pastry had lost some of its freshness.
On a brighter note, the pasticceria offers a wide variety of traditional treats that look appealing, and many of these can be found in other places throughout the area.
