Ittico Fish Bar — Restaurant in Verbania

Yesterday we ate dinner at ittico. 2 adults and 2 kids. We came at 6:30 pm. They said we can sit until 8:00 pm. We said its not a problem for us and it’s enough time. It took 25 minutes until someone came and took our order. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. At 7:30 the waiter came and said he is very sorry, they forgot to make our food and we will get it soon. At 7:44 pm, When 2 tables got their deserts, we got our food. At 8:00 pm the manager came and told us we need to go like he said at the start. We told him we got our food 10 minutes ago and our children didn’t finish eating…. He said its not his problem and we need to go now. We were shocked!! Absolutely shocking!!! We travel a lot, eat at many restaurants, this was a first!

The food is very good. Beautiful view. Good music.

Still hungry, we paid 110€ (!!!!), and went to eat dessert...

Ci siamo presentati senza prenotare, in quanto sul sito non era indicato che sarebbe stato opportuno o gradita una prenotazione. Abbiamo chiesto se era possibile mangiare per due, ci hanno indicato che i tavoli rimasti erano prenotati, e che non c'era posto. Abbiamo visto che c'erano posti adiacenti all'area ristorante che sarebbero stati altrettanto idonei o per lo meno alternativi per un pranzo a due, non ci è stato minimamente proposto un accomodamento alternativo o un tempo di attesa. Ritengo che la scarsa cura per il cliente non sia un buon segno. Il posto a prima vista è carino, poco più di un chiosco con tavoli annessi, dal quanto visto sul sito le mie aspettative erano un po' più alte, due stelle unicamente per la location, altrimenti il giudizio sarebbe stato una stella.

Inserisco questa aggiunta in replica alla vostra risposta al mio giudizio di cliente In quanto servizio al pubblico, ritengo che dovreste fare tesoro dei commenti delle persone insoddisfatte, piuttosto che dar contro senza cercare di valutare se ci sia spazio al miglioramento, questo certamente è triste. A maggior chiarezza, Vi faccio notare che il mio riferimento alla disponibilità di un eventuale spazio alternativo, si riferisce ai vostri tavoli adiacenti al chiosco, in cui c'era spazio, non mi riferivo certamente alle panchine pubbliche, mai mi sarei sognato di proporre una cosa simile e credo che nemmeno un insalubre di mente lo poteva pensare. Faccio anche notare che appellarsi al fatto che due persone in più creino un così grande disservizio, quando c'erano tavoli prenotati e non ancora occupati e quindi che non impegnavano il vostro servizio, è una bella arrampicata sugli specchi. Da possibile cliente mi sarei aspettato un recepimento pacato e costruttivo, ma vedo che non mi sono sbagliato, dato che il servizio di valutazione di Google è proprio per valutare la qualità del servizio e quindi del lavoro di chi si pubblicizza su questa piattaforma, è un mio diritto criticare il vostro...

The place is really nice, right by the lake you have an amazing view on the mountains surrounding the lake. I went there more than once and I found the service to be a bit slow and distracted. The prices are definetly too high especially if you go there for an aperitivo (spritz is 7 euros) consedering that you'll not get anything (a tiny portion of crisps and 4/5 taralli for 2 people on avarage). Regarding the food, for what I tried the quality is high (well done) but still quite pricy consedering you are not in...
